I probably sound like an angry man but your posts are very disrespectful to the people who got me into the scene and have done a ton of work and that makes me upset.

[...]People like you on the other hand are. I don't give a rat's ass about "the community" and "the attention BW now gets". You follow two somewhat known people, that's it. You won't stick around for the leagues, you won't regularly turn in, you won't donate any money, you won't do jack shit to help Brood War, and - most importantly - you won't play the game. All you will do is sit down, participate in a discussion you do not belong in and go after a comment you know was written with emotions boiling over slightly. It was by no means disrespectful or coming from some outsider, but someone who faces a shitty situation, someone who at least tries to do some shit. He wasn't even being insulting.

Again, I'm not anti-tasteless or oldschoolers, I'm against pathetic morons following them into our forums, where they feel entitled to press their crap opinions about how sisisisisiserious esportzzzz should work. If you would really care, like really, I would listen to you. But you don't, you'll be gone soon enough. Hence, keep your head up BD/XKCD, hf to those who'll enjoy the two hours of tasteless. To all hype trainer kids: go fuck yourselves.

How do you know he doesn't care about the community and the attention BW now gets?
How do you know he won't play the game? Do you know how much time he has spent on the campaign?
How can you say he doesn't belong in the discussion?

If anyone is being disrespectful in this thread, it is you gecko.

Honestly, I've always thought hive tech ZvZ was pretty boring. Usually its both players turtling in base until one game ending engagement.

I think this is bullshit. As much as I like Tastosis to come back, I don't think it's fair to BD and xkcd, at least not this way. Next season would have been better. I also won't hold my breath for their casting. It's probably going to be very painful with the little knowledge they have, especially Tasteless. I don't think this will be any better than BD&xkcd in this regard, if anybody was hoping that. I also don't think they will last long, but we will see.

Hah they played again on the same map the next MSL too, which went to hive tech, but not as good a game as that one.

Early to mid 2011 is what brought the hive tech hype.

Honestly, a great person that discusses Hive ZvZ is Tasteless's bro Day9. He has a really good daily that breaks it down from sunken placements to late game upgrades. Its a really good watch. I'd link it but his vods are down. Blind-rawr is currently seeding the torrent for anyone hoping to learn more.

And match point is in the pool for the tournament

Which is quite cool cause we even saw at the start of this tournament a ZvZ on match point with a proxy hatchery in the opponents base. And July proxied on Fighting Spirit in the Ro16. The ZvZ's have not disappointed.

One thing I've been wondering about is why the english stream for VNSL has never seemed to be in the TL stream list. Will Tastosis be? I'd imagine so...

Due to Afreeca API issues it can not be on there. Its a coding issue that's being worked on.

afreecaTV global doesn't have a public API for TL to hook into. That is being worked on at the moment. Unfortunately, their stream alongside ours won't be tagged on the sidebar. You will have to go to the LR to see the stream links. Other option is signing up and follow the streams and get some balloons to go boing boing!

That's a good point and something we should account for from Zero. During the KSL last year, In his kwanro versus zero series he 4 pooled with a 2-0 lead. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a lead and went for a similar strategy to July *pending map pool*. Honestly, Efforts best chance will be to end with lings in they was kwanro did.

It's so surreal to me that five years ago people would have kissed the ground Tasteless walked on and now almost half the posts in this thread are so very negative and bitter even though it's very likely the man has more passion left for BW than SC2... admittedly half those posts are by like three people but still.

At least the overall reception seems positive. I'm excited for this and hope it becomes a thing in a big way.

Also at the risk of coming across as a bellend, BisuDagger your frustration, while not unreasonable, is very unsightly in this thread. I get how you must feel, and I get that maybe having respect for two legendary pillars of the community might not be your highest priority right now, but did you seriously, one hundred percent go into this expecting to do well despite being a super niche fucking thing? And also, it feels like a cop out to say this *now* but I'm pretty sure this has been in the works for a long time. At least I know Tasteless has been trying to do something like this for a couple of years. But yea feel free to respond or not, judging by the tone and entitlement of most of your posts in this thread, I will likely not argue any further, I feel like I've made my point.

Not everyone can make a living doing what they love, even less so when it's this niche, so any entitlement just seems naive and severely lacking in foresight on your part. But whatever, I'm not here to judge some random dude's life, I'm here because I'm excited to see Tasteless casting BW again. ^^

I think at this point we can say that he's vented out, maybe in the wrong place but hey, live and learn but we can all move on to discuss the games......or maybe I'm the odd one here.
