Haha, I was thinking the entire game that Nada was just going to turtle until mass BC battle then abuse his much superior control.
But Garimto was always more than just a Protoss...

I do NOT think so, if you would've analysed the rep of Boxer-lock-down-carrier by PenguinPlug or BWchart, you would've seen Boxer actually hotkeyed his ghost s from 1 to 8, so there was no shift-deselect. Boxer also scanned first before he cloned the ghosts to locked down the carriers.

Don't flame me if I'm wrong, cz that's all I can remember about that match (Boxer vs Didi???)
Cheers,

Oh you guys are both talking about the carrier lock. I was talking about the BC lock which was like again 8 ghosts but also 5 locks in 1 second.

Nada had a lot of time to set this up and even I have cloned 12 BC on 6 of my opponents before. I have no doubt any pro T could do 20 on 10. I don't think many will get the chance though ^^; Once in a lifetime move.

Yah we really need this clip to stay up somewhere because it's a piece of SC history. PP2007 for sure.

Facing elimination from the OSL in a mineout 1 hour game, Nada wins the decisive battle with the most amazing display of yamato guns ever seen. Everyone in the live report thread was freaking out after seeing it.

the second part was just as impressive. I'd recommend uploading it (the yamato cloning at the very end)

I think Live2win is talking about when Nada is coming for Dongrae at top left corner and Dongrae is making his last stand (and gets off one lockdown lol).

That was definitely an amazing thing to watch... So many Yamato's flying around. Anyone who has played with that many BC's before knows how hard it is to do something like that...

I just watched the 2nd part (at around 1 hour 4 minutes) where Nada does the same thing but against goliaths... Almost as impressive as well...

he hotkeyed all the ghosts for bc lock.

he never had a pimpest carr lock. he tried carr lock vs reach but reach had too many units so he lost anyways. he did medic blind vs didi, but again didi had too many units so it didn't matter.

dongrae's EMP came in a second too late ^~

The way I do mass yamato with carriers is by hotkeying all of them in cascading fashion relal quickly as they're moving to battle.

I take whole group then hotkey it to 1. then deselect 2 then hotkey it to 2. then deselect another 2 and hotkey it to 3.

So you end up with 6 hotkeys for 12 bcs. so if u go 6 y select target, 5 y select target, 4 y select target it becomes the same as doing 1a2a3a4a...

This I find is easy. I used 1-6 in this example but 5-0 might be more practical depending on your hotkeys.

Nada probably delayed the yamato because he probably didnt group his valks and had to make them attack first (and engage with the other bcs in battle) to have perfect timing of yamato and then valks (otherwise if he yamato straight away I figure dongrae will just run).

Anyways...

edit: I also remember seeing a rep where nada didnt hotkey his buildings. Only his units. Hence, he would have much more hotkey space for doing something like I've described above.
I really wanted a bigger opponent, like Nate Marquardt, or King Neptune, or Zeus, or Zeus and Fedor, or Fedor on Zeus's shoulders, and they can both punch but only Zeus can kick.

In the first video Nada had a hugeeeeeeeee distance and ample time to clone all his bcs. Spectecular to watch, but not that difficult to pull off. Having 2 yamatos per bc as well is far easier because you can shift deleselect twice while placing your mouse in the same position.
