maybe bisu just doesn't wanna play? it would mean he would have to play in the league at strict times and bisu seems to like being pretty lax with his schedule. plus I mean... he probably makes more than the 1st place prize in like.. 1 hour streaming

They still need 5 more players for the complete Ro32. Let's hope for the best.

Realistically 1000$ isn't much for Bisu considering he makes a lot from donations the 1st place prize pool probably equivalates to 2 days of streaming for Bisu.
Is the extra stress of preparation + the potential loss of the top dog aura really worth that?
Also preparing for a tournament successfully usually means practicing off-stream so that's even more lost revenue.
Basically if he were to place 1st he'd break even if not he'd be bleeding money + some of his reputation.

I get the feeling sky going to be mega rusty and drop out in the round of 32.
Why would he be rusty?
cus he hasnt been streaming much at all. hes supposedly in some training house trying to be a pro poker player (not sure on the pro poker part) but every once in a while he plays some starcraft.
Zero's group is still hard. Group A = wtf group B = lol Hero's best m.u and none of those toss are good in pvz. Killer has the 2nd easiest group but he's been slumping a bit lately. Really interested to see snow's group as well
I thought he was playing in it. First page says that he was confirmed to play and thirsd-fourth page says never mind.
lol i read through the thread. funny stuff haha

I think sonic would but I don't know if the players would be willing to make the commute to the offline venue
I know other leagues had a prize pool just as big, or bigger, but man... Still, realizing that these players can get $4000 for winning BW is pretty crazy to hear. Not in the bad way as in "These guys play a game, why do they make $4000", but as in "Man, $4000 will definitely motivate these players."
I think what's most surprising is the constant viewer donations. like I understand it fluctuates a lot but hiya raking in more than 4k$ a month for almost 3 years is insane. I thought maybe after the set period of time when a new streamer starts to stream and gets many "welcome to afreeca donations" it would die down and donations would be unable to financially support them but somehow afreeca has made like a system of donating in which the donator is given recognition with these balloon icons and top 20 lists and streamer reactions. weird shit but good for these expros lol I really like the sponsor match contents. its like a win-win for both sides. The players get to play for a chance of winning really quick money and the viewer gets to watch a favorite matchup between two players. back when it was money matches there were so much issues and drama over refusing to pay.

Yeah, it's like an obligatory, but not mandatory paying to watch sort of thing. Or I guess one can also see it as "Give for those that give us entertainment." Either way, it's awesome about all of this. Sadly I have no money to donate myself, as much as I'd like to donate for other folks... :[

nope, we don't even get LR threads half the time. (I would make them if I could watch the games)

Round of 16 should be soon. 15 days ago she posted:
due to testing + family issues, running the league will be difficult for the next 2 weeks. I will contact the players and notify them. 2 weeks from now i'll be fully prepared to go all out on the ro16. please wait just a moment everyone.
Liquipedia says 2nd LoveTV Starleague is an offline event but I'm not sure. Plz someone can confirm this ? I will visit korean soon and I would love so much to see a BW live tournament

It's not unfortunately, it's online. Hopefully SSL10 starts before you leave.
