I guess it's true, In BW everyone wins. I think the worst part is if our vod isn't selected we can't post it on our channel for viewing. So wasted time basically.

I think the way they've done the caster thing is cool. It means everyone who entered is allowed to legally make their own vods which not only gives it more exposure but means everyone who entered can have fun doing it and it's not just linked to one or two people. I mean Sayle I like you but there's others who want to cast too :p (note: I didn't enter since I have no interest in doing it).

Except it's heavily implied that they will only pick the best casted VOD from each week to publish as the official one. Which means if 5 people cast a game, only one of those will be published and the other four people wasted their time because the 'winners' email specifically said you're not allowed to upload the VOD anywhere due to copyright. I'm not mad because they won't pick an exclusive caster. I'm mad because they didn't even bother telling casters in the winners email that other people would also be casting. Could you imagine if there are some casters out there who don't really check TL and don't know about this situation, so they spend lots of hours preparing and casting thinking they're the main caster for this event and then none of their VODs even get published.

This is a trial thing. Pretty sure they will be more exclusive next season.

This seems doubtful. From a business/organizational perspective, I can completely understand what they're doing. The foreign scene is small and amateur casters are likely to be unreliable. So, they want to get as many people commentating games in English as possible so when a few of them inevitably flake out, they will still have some English content to post. Foreign interest in BW isn't high enough to justify actually hiring a proper caster, so this sort of scattershot "I hope someone does all this free work for me" approach is the best business wise.

There's also the "Reward - Make a special video for the personal who does a remarkable job with all 5 weeks..."
Wouldn't be too surprised if they pick someone for 4 or 3 days and someone else for 2 days just so that they don't have to do any extra work.

€: i understand that you guys are unhappy with the caster situation, here is what i would do: given that i believe all "winners" for the cast use this forum: just decide for yourself who is gonna cast when, so nobody has to do a cast that doesn't get the attention it deserves. Take turns and let everybody cast, then start with the first caster again. Gomtv can't do shit about it, since they rely on foreign casters for the english vods and have no way of punishing that behaviour. Of course no one would be rewarded with the "special video", but really? who cares.

alternative is to do a dual or triplet cast etc... that would make for some amazing casts

question is if gom accepts it, and one caster wouldnt get the "award" (which is really lulz)

they can't reject it if all casters cast together lol. The award isn't that big of a deal
