Jangbi is going to bring with him a tone of fans (girls particularly) and will probably give courage to more players to do the same. Im hoping this is the start of something real big. Jangbi Hwaiting!

What the fuck are you talking about? Heaps of bw fans are sad. For one, no more games in sc2 - you don't need to hate sc2 to like bw. And two, he's going to the military - not bw. That's 2 years out. Who knows if he'll even play either game when he's out.

Why would any BW fan be sad about potentially seeing him play BW for a year? It's not like he was forced or made to quit SC2, he made the decision for himself. So as a JangBi fan I want him to do what makes him happy; and as a BW fan, I would be really happy about seeing him play BW for a year.

this. You can't expect BW fans to be sad because he quit sc2. I have lost all interest in sc2 over a year ago, so what? But ex pros retiring is GOOD news for me, when they are going to stream BW. Those two games share their player pool of korean pro's, so your loss is my gain.

Didn't he create some cute openers for PvZ in SC2? (Sorry, not super big on the recently-transitioned BW Protoss players outside of JD and Flash.) It'll be sad to see that creativity leave SC2.

Yeah, I never really understood why people retire when they're in a similar case. Don't practice when you decide you want to retire but finish out any leagues you're in if they're as big as Code S. You might win a few extra dollars.

If Protoss has such a stupid design then how do great elephants like Rain perform so well? Janbi just doesn't have the drive that JD or Flash or Innovation have. He's not motivated so he just chose to give up.

I'd like to point out that even FlaSh himself (among other pros) pointed out there's a discrepancy between how the races play out in Brood War and how they play out in SC2, and that SC2 Protoss plays very much like BW Terran.

Maybe Sun is better at adapting to this different style than JangBi is.

Do you even have any proof that flash stated this? Or did you just "hear it in some interview video and now you can't find it."?

Anyone who have any knowledge of BW can easily see this and dont really need an interview but I am sure someone already provided one anyways. It no brainer that terran in BW were the "turtle" race since terran had to go mech thus being very similiar to protoss but they also had the choice to go bio too in TvZ but any other match up they had to play a turtle mech style. Protoss style in BW revolve around a bunch of tier 1 (zealot and dragoon) units similar to terran going bio and playing very aggressive with them.

says unmanly terran

fantasy, hiya, berserker, go.go (yeah I know T_T), turn (at the end) would kindly disagree

protoss style in BW revolved around being a faggot excellent strategist in proxying, gas stealing, 10/15 gating, dt rushing, arbiter recalling (okay that's fair), 12 nexing, and macroing.

JangBi fulfilled his prophecy in the final year of Broodwar. I understand why there's no need for him to play SC2. I only hope he follows Best's example and gives Sospa a try before he does his service.

I couldn't help laughing at your cross out XD gas steals by P were a pain to deal with when I played Terran. The BW protoss = SCII Terran is quite interesting. Completely missed how dragoons are almost like marauders(in the sense of level and path to get them) etc...

I understand your optimism, but it doesn't really sound like he's going to be playing BW all that much either. I'm sure he's put his life on hold for his progaming career, and now that he's accepting his military service, he's got a lot of catching up to do.

That's pretty much how I read 'going home to take a year off' anyways.

It's not just Flash; Rainbow said that's why he played Terran in SC2, because the harassment options reminded him the most of Reaver dropping. This was during the open seasons, sorry I can't find the specific vod.

There's also an old cast of Artosis having fun with talking about why MKP changed from Protoss to Terran ("Marauders are kinda like Dragoons and 'T' is still the button he presses when he wants to kill everything").

Plus, there's Artosis who went from BW Terran to SC2 Zerg (because Zerg was OP during Beta) and now happily turtles away as SC2 Protoss.

Jangbi Never had much love for protosses, but Jangbi was the truest Protoss hero since Garimto took down Boxer.

Hopefully he'll be playing BW again.
