He left because he didn't like the game enough. Can't fault him for that.

I would've expected him to drop to Code B before retiring instead of doing it while he's still in Code S. But given the circumstances of his enjoyment for the game and military service coming up, I understand his decision. Best of luck to him.

Noooooo, he was Khan's best player!!
Jangbi, the new era's saviour, the hero we needed and deserved!!

And, Khan feels so weak now

Yeah, but it definitely takes a certain temperament to be able to crush one's way through the depressing miasma of "hero to zero."

Not that Jangbi was anywhere close to zero ... (which is why this news is so shocking).

I know, I am just so depressed by this

we don't know how much Jaedong enjoys SCII. I'm sure his success and all the traveling must be a big bonus for him to stick around.

Makes me wonder why more Kespa players don't try that route. It might actually be fruitful. Instead of straight up retiring, try going on a foreign adventure.

Thing is, you have to find a foreign team to take you and have to be willing and want to try outside Korea and compete at all the different lans. It's a big commitment to do that.

I actually think the scenery change did JD a ton of good. From what I hear, JD enjoys being on EG, and honestly, if you're a Chinese/Korean player and you have the chance to go to a legit foreign team, I think you should take it and run. Both for the money and all the experiences. Given how short a progaming career is, it's a good idea to make the most out of it.

ya, agree although we don't know his reason for not trying for that.

Jaedong might enjoy the game a hell of a lot more as well though

Fair, but a lot of players have given up their seeds for various reasons. Whether it be retiring or not being able to make it out there.

PL Season is over man. This is technically the KeSPA offseason even with the WCS going on.

Whenever I think of Jangbi, this kinda smile comes to mind:

I believe he did the same in his games against Zero after he realized he won. Jangbi fighting!
