Description: I will be running an hour minimum long show each week. This show will be a brutal dissection of build orders and strategy in each match up. I will discuss why some failed and others succeeded.
ALL NEW THIS SEASON: In depth takes on strategies from past and present

I'm starting from the beginning of a season. I just haven't decided how early I want to start.
edit: I think I can get 1 full season in by August which is how long the first season of my show will run.
Nice! Looking forward to this. In my opinion it would be really nice if, when you are done with season 1, your VODs were added to the Cool an Unusual Starcraft thread replacing the korean vods, and of course add them to the [English commentary available] section. If you are not planning to upload the videos to youtube, I think just adding the link to the twitch VOD of each game you casted without replacing the korean VODs would be the best option. gl with this

The first OSL season I'm casting has been selected. Be on tonight to watch as the group stages commence. The premier of my show will offer you games with two of the greatest Starcraft players to grace the scene so don't be late. Also, expect lots of kpop.
Probably won't be able to see the entire thing live due to timezones T.T Oh well, vods are almost as good I guess.

... is it fair to guess that one of those two players is Bisu? If so, my guess is that you picked the EVER OSL from 2007, which also happens to feature the greatest protoss of all time playing vs Bisu in the semifinals. EVER2007 also has the best Opening of all OSLs.
You should seriously put this on liquibet. Not the OSLs, obviously, but predicting which OSL is picked for the show :p This would probably mean that I'd drop even further down on the liquibet rankings though... Forget everything I just said kthxbai

You risk much based on the bias of the host. Could it not be a group A that consists of: sAviOr[gm] -> iloveoov -> By.Flash -> Light[aLive] or July (seeded) -> Zergman -> Boxer -> Rock. Group A in the OSL's are very strong historically
glad to see you took my suggestion hope you can pull in some sc2 player eyeballs. if you title it "_____ OSL" on the calendar people might be more inclined to click, i think. otherwise it seems like a display of selected games, which makes sense for cool/unusual starcraft, but if you're showing a whole osl you should brand it as such.

It is . I think its perfect running an OSL of old throughout the new one. So people have the best of both worlds.

Haha, it wouldn't be brood war without production issues. I was just making it feel realistic xD. I'll post the vods on here later today. Thanks everyone who was able to watch, Thursday will be even better.
Tonight we take a look into the most OP ability in Brood War/Gaming History, MIND CONTROL. Watch the top pros use the ability as part of their strategies in the game!
Also, I calendered the SRT groups A and B for tomorrow at 8:15pm EDT if anyone is interested in those games.
Thanks for watching everyone. I only got through game one of Group B. I will continue group B on Thursday since there are a lot of games to get through still. So be there!
edit: Saw that I had about 67 viewers today and it was a great feeling on top of a good day. I'm working on getting a new microphone I had to use my old one today but that will be fixed too. Also it was cool that a twitch staff worker was watching the stream too so even they love SC1.

It's not too late. This is my "cool and unusual starcraft" day but group B has 3 terrans lol. What do you think, should I edit the calender and do that tonight?

Bisu, I want to seriously thank you for the work you're doing with this show. I didn't get involved in Starcraft until Starcraft II and recently I've been wanting to explore the old BW scene. But with so many VODS in Korean, and with a seemingly infinite number of possible ones to watch, I've never known how to start watching/understanding the context of classic BW games.
If I get through the Legion's games tonight in good time then I might start on casting the SRT seminfinals tonight too. SRT seminfinals 5pm EDT tonight
edit: Legion AK cast moved, I did the SRT Semis instead.
You need to market this shit better. If you call it 2007 EVER OSL in the calendar it won't get cut off. Right now it's not clear what it is at first glance and people will just graze over it.

I think you should talk about the players and matches as they were at the time. Obviously introduce and inform new BW followers to what's going on, but talk about the players and story lines that actually existed. For example, + Show Spoiler +
Flash wasn't God and his TvP was not that good yet. Stork was a pretty strong favorite, so it really wasn't an amazing thing when he won.
I think it's particularly important regarding the finals because JD was a monster at ZvT and ZvZ, and pretty mediocre at ZvP. If you talk about Jaedong "The Tyrant" rather than Jaedong "The Legend Killer", you lose some of that important context. He wasn't an all-around great player at the time. Stork wasn't amazing at PvZ either, but the story line going in was whether Jaedong could learn ZvP or not. After the first match, it seemed like he hadn't. Then something switched, and it was like he learned ZvP before our very eyes, and then he'd go on to beat Bisu, etc. later and become The Tyrant.
Obviously from a career retrospective, it's no big deal that Jaedong beat Stork. But it was a big deal at the time, especially the way he did it. You lose some of that excitement if you don't approach it that way, imo.

I totally agree. Thanks for spoiling btw. I'll def need to prepare my thoughts better for the Ro4 and finals. It's hard to remember how it was since it was so long ago lol. I'll try and skype with some old brood war guys to capture the feel.
Fair enough. It's one of the OSLs that sticks out in my mind (maybe because it has the best intro EVER) but I can definitely understand how difficult it is to remember/find the context at the time.

yes i agree and you could use the OSL tag aswell
€: im suggesting 2006 Shinhan Bank OSL Season 2. Quite strong and exiting groups if i remember, plus if i recall right + Show Spoiler +
Nada= awesome
. For the next Season after BD is done with current EVER 2007 OSL. Discuss people!
Thanks for "rebroadcasting". As someone who didn't start to watch BW until after the release of SC2 its quite interesting to see all the big names playing back in their prime or before it.
BisuDagger, any progress on organizing the VODS? I'm trying to start watching this (since I'm slow and just learned it existed) but twitch SUCKS at organizing videos and I don't want to miss anythiing :D

Yeah, I'm at red bull Orlando but I plan on putting it together on Monday. Thanks for the interest!
Well, for one reason or another, both of these players have been eliminated from that destined final stage by the same sweeping 0-3 defeat in the semis. UpMagiC, the "#1 unpredictable" Terran took on an impossible map pool, pitting his relative weakness to his opponent's strength - and played admirably.
The week after, we witnessed the Lion of Teamleague and the Anti-Zerg reenact their PvP mirror final from GomTV MSL Season 2, this time with radically different results. Inferior play coupled with one instance of bad luck took hold of Bisu's nerves and sent this "bonjwa" candidate on a downward spiral into oblivion.
But fear not true believers, for the curtain will rise one last time for our coveted players. Since their semifinal woes, both have entered stasis to await further upgrades for the coming battle.
This is it folks, the dying swan is about to sing its last and most beautiful. Only one question remains: Terran, or Protoss?
Dude UpMagiC is #5 favorite T of all time (Fantasy NaDa Boxer Leta UpMagiC) I never knew he got this far, and vs Bisu to boot. Totally missed this one gotta catch it up!

Bisu vs UpMagiC cast was delayed. T_T I'm doing an all BeSt episode thursday. I promise I'll get to the Bisu vs UpMagic games soon. Show canceled for today. I cannot make it due to work. I will try and make it up tomorrow.

T_T I'm trying. Tomorrow will be the last day for anything. I'm gone all next week on a work related trip. So I'd like to finish season 1 of my show tomorrow.
Season 2 starts Thursday on a count that I had to drive all the way home today and won't have time to get everything together by tomorrow. Sorry for the slight delay but it will be worth.
Featured reps include our favorite heroes Dove, HiyA, and Shinee as they take this build to its max. See how God(Flash) uses this to his advantage while BeSt(the macro king) shows how things can go wrong for the aggressor.
I tuned in for the last 3 minutes of the stream~ yay BisuDagger!!! can we have an all bisu episode? :D but i really want to see 3 hatch before pool vs 14cc for the zerg strat... because if i remember correctly, 14cc still had a slight advantage over a 3 hatch no pool build... or maybe it was just Flash destroying the crap out of everyone else...
