The server itself is more or less functional, as is the forum on the website and the user profiles (although both are not complete and have plenty of work still to do). The AMM is very near functional, and the launcher and antihack are pretty functional.

Will the Starserver launcher have the same features as mca's?

The initial launcher won't have all the features, but we plan on adding more as we go. You should be able to join StarServer using mcalauncher, but not play in ladder games with it (although this is all subject to change and not set in stone).

why not make it TL branded and on this site using the bw forums ? it's not exactly like they're overcrowded

Does the 2v2 ladder (or 3v3 4v4 ladder if it will be) matchmaking gonna separate random team from team arranged team ? (i.e sc2) In other words (since my english sux) will the 2v2 match making will provide a different ladder ranking if i go 2v2 with random ally or with the ally i decide to pick before start the match making ?

Hmm, that's a very good suggestion. We could definitely look into having different rankings with specific allies vs random allies, but I think for beta it will be just the one ranking.

As a heads up, Taiwanese is not a language you need to translate it into. Every born Taiwanese is bilingual and fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese so you only need to translate into Chinese (Mandarin) for the entire population to understand.
