EPTCurrently I play Phantom UMS. Optimally number of players IMO 6-8. Game played on Huntres map. In that UMS, one of the players, chossen randomly, becomes Phantom. He got much more money (some number of min and gas per second? he can make 8-10 baraks at the beginning or 6-7 hachs). He must kill all others, while they must kill him. I find it very intresting if Phantom is not noob.
Good UMS maps?

Capture the Flag: 1. V-tec Paintball (this may be the most skillfull UMS game ever created and has a small following of very good players who game at op V-tec @ useast) 2. Snipers (meh, its ok. There used to be quite a few clans dedicated to just this map, but if you are looking for a CTF game, stick with v-tec) 3. Uberena (there are no flags, but it plays just like the other games) Sports: 1. SCV Football/Tourny 2. Basketball Allstar edition 3. Dodgeball Micro: 1. Team Micro Emerald or 1.3 are the best versions 2. Gladiator (very fun game where 3 people fight mutliple rounds in a FFA style and others bet on who the winner is going to be) 3. A multitude of melee training micro maps that put you in a simulation "real" situations 4. 1a2a3a Micro (Classic map that helps accuracy. Known fact that all koreans play at least 6 hours a day of this) 5. MicroCraft (A map I created. It is exactly like melee except everything is x2, forcing players to have smaller amounts of units and making micro EXTREMELY important. It can be kind of slow at the start, but once the micro picks up the action never stops) Strategy: 1. Battlecraft Fastblack (may not seem like a very deep game at the start, but trust me... it is) 2. Rock/Paper/Scizzors 3. Chess Team Strategy: 1. Smash T.V. (One of the funnest games around... you can easily spend hours playing this if you are good enough to last that long) 2. Impossible Scenarios (team micro vs computers type of deals) Bounds: Any - they all are fun. Heaven Bound was the first one that started the craze RPG: There are many Rpgs out there, but I really never got into this category ... so I all I have are the basic good ones that everyone knows: FF3, ChronoTrigger, Ogre Battle, Gladiators 2, and Crash RPG's Phantom is also a very fun one. Good to play a round or two with your friends. Puzzle Maps: 1. Puzzle Adventure (I made this map along with a friend of mine. It is very challenging, although not as flashy as some of the other 'pro' puzzle maps) 2. The Puzzling (fun team puzzle deal) 3. TempleOfWonders (single player puzzle map - very well made) Defence: Defence maps are either 1) very fun and addicting or 2) not very fun and boring. I just randomly play some every now and then. Minigames: 1. Mario Party (always a classic party game, even on starcraft) 2. Mini-Game Mayhem 3. Mini Bound Games Minigames are a fun way to pass the time | ||

The Phantom map is kinda strange. I was the phantom once, and I just let everyone argue over who the phantom was. I build normally for like 8 min, then I just macro out. By that time a few players, that were suspect to be phantoms, are taken out already. When they figured out I was the phantom, it was too late. By the time the game was over, everyone was really pissed at me. I felt kinda bad winning the game. | ||

I think that there should be announcement who is Phantom at, say, 3-5 minute mark at most. I think about editing Phantom to make this announcement. A couple of times phantom just didn't notice himself untill 40 minutes (at 40 min mark UMS reveals phantom). He was crushed of cource. Such players just spoil the fun IMO. | ||
