i saw that today its boxer's birthday and i wanted to watch all the amazing highlights and stuff about him, some fpv aswell, but i when i was looking on nevake's youtube channel almost 1/3 of them are blocked (sadly all the show me the msl fpvods) is this some kind of copyright issue? | ||

 I was just in the process of studying Flash's TvZ on FS. Instead of releasing replays, they're going to take down YT vods? :T I hope it gets sorted out somehow, the way the vods were organized is too useful to let it go to waste. At least we always have the superawesome torrents as a backup. | ||

A few years ago Jon747 hit too many copyright complains(I think three separate ones are enough) and was shut down completely. We lost a large number of videos in that incident. Obviously we want to protect Nevake from a similar fate. | ||

@FlaShFTW yeah they did tag us but tags don't make much of a difference, it's the copyright infringement that's doing the damage. @greenelve Well this is what I'm sort of planning but it'll take time, if we get one more copyright notice we're gone. @aquados It was MSLs that we received the copyright infringements for so by making all those VODs private for now this will give us time to save everything that's there currently. | ||

In this case, we'd want to create little loops of progamers prepping in booths or something  This of course requires that you be able to re-encode the videos (hopefully at a higher resolution so we don't lose quality overall) with this "looping frame" around them, and then re-upload. Which would take lots of time in any case. But if you test on a video known to currently be blocked and it works, and if it can be batch-automated, this would be a way to still preserve having all the VODs on YouTube, and it seems unlikely that the automated matching stuff would be made able to catch this any time in the foreseeable future. (The algorithms would have to know how to pick out a particular subframe out of a fully-moving image and match content only against that.) | ||

As far as I know, the way we got copyright was MBC Media directly issuing it, not by matching the videos, otherwise it would have happened for more videos and happened english commentators too, that is just a guess though but if correct then they will not find unlisted VODs. A lot of this is already automated, there's a few of us downloading everything (prioritising VODs that aren't backed up at the moment), once that's done we can begin re-uploading, so it will take time but computer time and not me physically having to click each link or anything. thx i havent tried this one, but the results are the same with every other proxy i tried. i 95% get the "an error occured, please try again later" or "too many connection from this provider" messages. i tried the unblocker at the video at the top and at a random live hatsune miku video. apart from not working after 15+ refreshes, i still cant search for the blocked vods at all, so ye, im still stuck. | ||

The quality is not as good as on the Nevake channel, but it's still watchable and at least you don't have to miss out on those matches. | ||
