Wait, what? I am so confused.

I have been away from the SC scene for so long. Jaedong is playing SC2?

A Yes, I followed his play style. Honestly, I don't have the confidence that I will win every game in SC2 just yet. I don't have a solid grasp on the underlying concepts. I don't think I am at a level where you can compare my play to that of other zerg players such as Stephano.

Amazing that he picked a foreign SC2 player, not a Korean SC2 player. I guess he must really like Stephano's style. Times are changing. Now if only Stephano -- being elevated in such a way by a BW legend -- really cared about it, haha. Anyways, thanks for translating the interview!

Do you seriously think he's going to pick Nestea (for being Zergbong), DongRaeGu (someone who has a 3-33 winrate in the CJ B team ranking leagues), IdrA (CJ B teamer), or Ret (someone who got RO8 Courage as his best result)?

Even though I'm always sad when KT loses, I couldn't help but feel a bit elated with Jaedong's win. Hopefully T8 can get some more wins and pick up a sponsor or two !

No comprendo. Stephano's Korean BW record is worse than every player you listed. JD just happens to like his plays.

Stephano's builds are much more 'obvious' and easy to follow as they don't rely as much on reading and countering your opponent as for example Nestea or DRG do; on top of that, there are so many more VODs of his games available, it's hardly surprising that JD would cite him as a player he is watching the most.

I can't believe people are somehow using that as 'omg foreigners!!!11' or bringing up past BW results??? into this...

What about Stephano? His record is worse then all of them as he didn't play bw lol. So your point makes absolutely no since whatsoever.

Really fun to watch Jaedong dismantle Lizzy like that (particularly the two pronged kiting with roach/ling). Hard not to be happy for Team 8 as well- I'm a sucker for the underdogs.
there's a bug in the new patch where the other player keeps killing all my dudes.. please nerf this

i dont think there can be much done to perfect it though, its a very solid build and strong on its own, but what makes stephanos zvp so good is not the build itself, its the fact that he somehow figured out protoss, he basically knows every protoss timing down to the second

Jaedong didn't just cite him as a player he is watching the most, he actually said he likes stephano's style and admires it. He even said it is beautiful that he is a foreigner and is so good. -_-

No where did jaedong say stephano is "so good". He simply thinks stephanos style is the style he invisions himself using.

Jaedong played pretty well against Motive, looked like a real game that could've been played on a pro level. Not like most of the games in Proleague, which are all played like GSL games played out over a year ago. His game against Motive actually looked almost exactly like the Stephano vs MC games at MLG Spring Arena 2.

Nice interview, and nice translation! I have faith in Jaedong!
