But they don't even play at the level of <your favorite sc2 pro>." ? True true, however each stick have two sides. Some of BW guys also behave kinda butt hurt when someone challenges the superiority of BW players(not BW>SC2) in completely different game like SC2. It's been hinted that SC2 and BW are not as similar as people thought, now with quotes from trainers and players we can finally say that SC2 and BW, although have same races and are RTS, are different and being good at one, does not translate directly into being good at the other. I think Flash is a bit modest and probably PR has some role in it saying 1-2years, but it's not like, "lololol look at this game, GM after one month, GSL after two"

Not sure if gusta.
I will give it a try, but i'am not hoping for much

I'll just ask : why is there so much hate towards this ? Just because of SC2 ?
Personnally, i didn't had the chance to watch BW competition (until end of 2011), i regret it because the little i've seen was absolutely great, but anyway, i'm very interested to see if BW pros can make the transition. I think that though this isn't the same game, the way they practiced for BW will translate well. They know how to practice for such a game, even if it's not the same.
I find this quote from Flash particularly interesting : Flash (Rolster): I've become immersed in SC2 and play the game until 3-4 in the morning. It feels like when I first played SC1. I'll work hard so I can show everyone better games.
We know where it lead him for SC:BW....

I'm freagging excited! I don't know what to do with my self! I can't wait till the 20th, what should I do?

Will the stream and VODs be free or we must pay (like GomTV) ?

Ace match is SC2, bleh. I mean this is the last proleague event that will feature BW, it's going to be SC2 from here on out, might as well give BW the ace matches for one last time.
Though I can appreciate that the last BW ace match ever played was a fricken awesome game between Bisu and Flash.

Sounds like a good thing, excited to see how this will go.
Everyone will be able to get a bit more knowledge if they only particularly watch one or the other and maybe it will lower the bickering that's been going on these forums for the last 2 years but doubt it

We know where it lead him for SC:BW.... A short summary of that will be this hybrid BW-SC2 proleague with rules that forces the players to practice both games will only lead to either terrible all-over-the-place games or a lot of cheese strats just like what we saw in the previous PL season and ODT. This season is focused on making koreans watch SC2 and some believe that this could also get foreigners to watch BW but when they do, they're only going to be disappointed with the quality of games. Not just SC2, not just BW, but both. Those SC2 fans who think that all this "hate" are "just because of SC2" should read some posts from threads like this before jumping into conclusions. Not every BW spectator hates SC2.

What MVP thinks about it, and i agree
As Kespa enters the Starcraft 2 scene, fans are already hyping up the match between you and Flash.
It will be fun to play against him. However, I’ve seen recent articles about Starcraft 1-Starcraft 2 running in parallel. Frankly, the two games running in parallel is too hard on progamers. I’ve played Starcraft 1 from time to time as a Starcraft 2 gamer and it feels way too different. I regret the fact that Starcraft 1 gamers have to play two games at once. I think the people who decided this were too selfish. They didn’t consider the players at all.

Abomination. Broodwar isnt something that fills the gap while i wait for something better, its THE perfect thing, i'm not interested in anything else. BB Broodwar...

If you're going to end the BW pro-scene, just make a full switch. Why make players and fans have to go through this crap.

Thanks for the explanation. I was asking to precisely avoid jumping into such conclusions...
I didn't realized this point.

Of course Light would say that TvP is the hardest, what else
SO HYPED. And they do not have official broadcast for the opening match ? I assume our streamers will take care of this ?
