Where are all the winners interviews these days... well I'll do my best ;;

There weren't many people who thought (T)hOn_sin, a player who previously was unable to attain a single win this season, could beat (P)Bisu, last season's Most Wins King. However, (T)hOn_sin failed a two-factory strategy against Bisu, but remained calm and kept playing, eventually causing a huge upset by winning.

(T)hOn_sin, who attained his first Proleague win of the season by defeating Bisu, couldn't contain a bright smile throughout the entire match against SK Telecom. "My name is Noh Jun Kyu, not Jung Hyung Don," he said. [T/N: hon_sin looks like Jung Hyung Don, a TV comedian and entertainer. Also idk when this is from, but it has hon_sin's name as Jung Hyung Don lol.]

Q: You beat (P)Bisu. How do you feel?
A: It's hard to believe I won against a good player. It hasn't really sunk in yet. It's just wonderful.

Q: When you were sent out, you saw you were facing (P)Bisu.
A: I actually thought it was good. He's a great player, so if I beat him, it would be that much better. I was able to play with my mind at ease.

Q: What was your team thinking?
A: My team was probably really nervous for me on the inside. When we saw the lineup, we weren't hopeful about a victory (laugh). Instead of thinking whether I'd somehow win or not, I just focused on preparing my strategy well.

Q: When your two-factory strategy failed, you didn't panic.
A: It shouldn't have turned out that way. When I saw the 3 marines still at my main base, I wondered despairingly how, at such a crucial moment, I could have made such a fatal error. But after the mistake, I managed to clear my mind and continued to play the game calmly. From then on, I made sure not to make any more mistakes and was able to play a good game. (P)Bisu almost made small mistakes, like stepping on mines, so I thought I could turn the game around, and I kept pushing.

Q: You don't seem to do well in televised matches.
A: I think it's the lack of experience. I haven't played in many broadcasted matches, so I'm not used to it yet. The environment is different from that of the practice rooms, so it's awkward. I'll have to quickly adjust to playing on TV.

Q: Woongjin Terrans are still stuck at the bottom.
A: Our results haven't been great, but it's not like we can't do anything about it. If (T)Light-hyung and I improve our records, we can dispel those worries. As such, good results are important.

Q: You don't get upset when people say you look like Jung Hyung Don. (here's a reference pic)
A: Nah, I don't. It meant that I received a lot of interest outside of my games, so now I just have to perform well . It feels good that I was different from others at from the start. Truthfully, I'm thankful to Jung Hyung Don (laugh). At first I didn't like it, because I didn't think I looked like him. But then sometimes photos of us looking disturbingly similar pop up and I'm amazed (laugh).

Q: What would you think of appearing on Infinity Challenge (a popular variety show on MBC) with "Yoo Jae Suk" (another Korean entertainer) Protoss (P)Dear?
I've known Dear for a long time now. I think it would be fun to fight him. On Infinity Challenge, Jung Hyung Don can never beat Yoo Jae Suk, so I'll be the one to change that pattern by beating Dear. It should be fun.

Q: Any last words?
A: First of all, thank you to the coach and staff that gave me a chance to play today. And to (T)Light-hyung, who is always caring after me, I'm so thankful. I usually don't show my feelings much, but I want to take this chance to express my gratitude. And to the secretary that cares for me, thank you. In the Woongjin house I have no name and I'm called Jung Hyung Don. I really want to tell everyone: My name is Noh Jun Kyu! (laugh)

And my parents, who gave me many words of encouragement... it is because of all the strength you gave me that I am here right now. Mom and Dad, I love you!

As always, please let me know if there are any errors!

Is it not ironic that the interviews everyone seems to ask for are the ones that pain me the most? T_T jk, I liked this one a lot. hon_sin seems sweet, and I wish for him much success in the future (although not at the expense of Bisu, please!) ^^

lol after watching Running Man, I thought Dear looked like Yoo Jae Suk too :D

My team was probably really nervous for me on the inside. When we saw the lineup, we weren't hopeful about a victory

This part has me a little curious. When he said "saw the lineup", is he talking about just when Bisu came out? or the lineup SKT wants to send out for all 5 sets? It's just that I'm still under the impression that they don't reveal players until before the set is to be played, and that while coaches have a predetermined list, they can make changes before the set.

Anyway, thanks for the translations. Much appreciated.

Indeed, that's how it works. Before every set, the coaches write down who they want to send out on a little slip of paper and give it to the refs, and then they only reveal the player after that. So although we all thought hon_sin came out on that map to snipe Bisu, it seems they were actually all rather surprised to find out that's who he was matched against.

Yay! It's been a while since we had a winner's interview. Always enjoy reading them.

For anyone interested, previous interviews (the ones that I can find anyway) are linked on liquipedia.

Is there someone who knows where to look and can look this up? I've heard so much conflicting thoughts about this. I thought they decided all the 5 players before game 1, and then they couldn't change it.
