I wish Lucifer would consider switching to SC2 instead of retiring. The "Lee Young Ho to SC2!" thread would be the biggest rickroll in TL history.
I hope 4 who want to continue in BW find new teams (even Shine), but I especially hope Midas finds a home.
As for Hiya, I hope he has a change of heart and gives BW another shot. From the translations in the thread about him streaming games it seems the environment in Hwaseung wasn't so good. Maybe a change in scenery at a more player friendly team like STX or Khan would do him some good. If not then I still wish him luck in SC2. It's better to see Hiya in the GSL booths than not playing games at all.

I'm sure some will probably retired and start playing random RTSes and then decide to get into SCII.

Maybe pro gaming isn't really a viable job after all it depends on company willing to sponsor you and the next day they can just change their mind and you will be jobless on the street . Think about it , general perception of a pro gamer has been tainted and we are probably labelled as bums who refused to be productive to society. If only there exist an organisation made by gamers and for gamers to protect these players right and to see them go through society and such . Opting to go pro will at least be beneficial for you in the long run .
So far I haven't seen any organisation like that exist until now , It's either make a pro game team become the best or left to rot and go back to college.

5-6?I'm sure they can house/afford more.

5-6?I'm sure they can house/afford more. 5-6 more A or B teamers. MBC, Fox and Oz each had 14-17 players on their teams so its around that size.

While i dont love seeing BW players switch to SC2, HiYa is a hilarious personality who would do all sorts of crazy shit in the less-regulated SC2 community which would be especially amusing to American fans. He and Hyun are both players I would love to see in international competitions due to this trait.

So the fact that Hiya is doing the most financially secure option to him has no bearing to you?
Stay classy

Well, if HiyA does go to SC2, at least we'll see this in a GSL booth:
|
Hiya isn't being picked up because his expected salary is too high, according to what I've read. From what I picked up on his stream, he's not looking to switch over right now, but rather thinks that the Korean e-sports scene will eventually transition into SC2, so he says he's just trying to stay a step ahead of his peers. It didn't sound like he was anywhere close to actually making the decision, though.

Forever Homo for Lomo
So sad to see these pros go.

Tbh, the B-teamers is the biggest loss here. If BW cannot keep getting new B teamers, it will bleed out soon enough. Seeing 3 entire teams of B-teamers just vanish is really unsettling for anyone thinking of going pro. As rough as being a pro gamer is, this has to scare any newcomer more than anything else.

how many times have you changed your team tag by the way?
seriously your attitude towards player's life decisions is the worst.
