and yet we still don't know the details behind that 8th BW team :[
SC2 in Proleague would be interesting though. I could see it bridging the gap between BW and SC2 fans in Korea, maybe.

I have a feeling the current korean SC2 teams are about to be sacrificed at the altar, though. Nah, they will just play in the new SC2 PL but under a different name/sponsor. That's how some of the current SF PL pro-teams were formed, by taking over existing clan/non-sponsored teams. Are you sure the kespa teams wouldn't just take over entirely? It'd be weird to see IM become KT for proleague, but remain IM for GSTL. That could happen but it's unlikely. At the very least the better players will keep their jobs.

I want BW to stay forever. What is wrong with you people? If this came true it would be 2 great games coexisting with each other and introducing themselves to a new public. BW could get a influx of new sc2 fans that never watched BW and that means more sponsors and sc2 would get more spotlight in the Korean scene. This news is the complete opposite of one game dying or players switching over. thank you im wondering why "villageidiot" is still alive here oO I have no idea I'm reading his posts and nuking him over and over in my imagination.

Errr......? If they truly hated KeSPA then it won't exist today. No one would have supported/watched the leagues, meaning the approval rate for KeSPA would have gone downwards, and fast. Isn't "dogspa" a symbol for everything that is wrong with esports in Korea? It's not enough for people to not watch, but I thought it was nearly universally disliked there.

The whole thing looks like a way to force a transition to sc2, which is going to be a really "take it or leave it" kind of offer, cause say some sponsors might not find SC2 attractive and just force the teams to disband. The situation is really complicated and I have no idea how this is going to work out, but again it all seems like a way to force the BW competition to SC2, doesn't matter if Flash and Bisu want to switch to SC2 now or in 5 years if they get payed 250k yearly to do it now and play it on TV as they used to do with BW.

I haven't seen any more news on it so far. On topic: as long as SC2 and BW can coexist side by side, I'm fine with this.

Like I said, if it was nearly universally disliked in Korea, even at this moment, people will flip out on the community forums with such news (speculation about SC2 has been going around for a while). General statement nowadays: KeSPA where's our new Proleague season?
