time to get some therapy. its not 2002 anymore. we have sc2 and other bigger better things, good god people.. LIVE This ^^ I can't stand watching Brood War because the graphics are so terrible. Feel free to call me whatever since that is my reason for not watching, but the fact of the matter is that relatively the same game exists with a 3D graphics engine. TL is donating more attention to SC2, why won't everyone else. And you. Also fuck off. Thank you for your extremely well thought out and elegantly stated response. You truly are defending what you believe in there. There is really no point in properly responding to you, given your imminent warning/ban.

Your viewpoint is garbage, and I don't need to explain the inappropriateness of coming into a BW news thread telling people why you don't think it's worth your time to watch. Basically like going to a college basketball game and telling the audience that you don't watch it because the NBA is better.

For a game that you claim is so hard to watch because of it's graphics still had 1 in every 5 teenagers in Korea watch the proleague Grand Finlas,I'd prefer it if you learn to look past the graphics and actually critisise the game and it's proscene, otherwise your argument is quite poor.

mk, how about this. As fun as I find SC2 it just isn't SC:BW. I have serious doubts that that will ever change. SC2 just doesn't feel the same. It lacks a certain dynamic feel to it that BW has right now. Maybe it is the development time that BW has had or maybe not. We have to give SC2 about ten years to find out. However, it is stupid to simply rule out one of (if not the) best games ever made. You expect people to abandon something as developed as BW for a game that is still in it's infancy. I find the notion laughable, and if one day SC2 does take over and BW disappears I hope that it is with enough time for it to be a graceful transition. I don't want it to be something that is just thrown on a game that is still being patched. I don't want it put on a game that still has TWO expansions left. I want the transition to be given to a better game than BW and that game is NOT SC2.

All in all this sounds like great news, except for the Bisu part. I hope Light girl, Violet, and Flash all get well soon
P.S. <3 Harem

Too bad God Young ho is in surgery, otherwise he could heal Light girl (or is it leprosy only?)

Damn, it's amazing that there's still all this awesome stuff happening! Looking forward to the next season

I'd donate blood to light girl as well, except i don't live in korea.

It'll be interesting to see how Flash performs after his surgery. I expect him to be even better than he is now. Maybe I hope for too much.

The guy already makes bank and after coming off a record season (I think the teams care a ton more about Proleague than individual leagues) he should definately get a raise. Probably not Flash level but he'll be amongst best paid in progaming.

Seriously, anyone who thinks they are the same game either sucks at sc2/sucked at both of them or never played BW. They are entirely different games, really. If sc2 was called Warcraft in Space there wouldn't be a split in the community and it probably wouldn't get any attention at all in Korea. It's actually funny that this guy says it's 'relatively the same game' when for the longest time sc2 guys criticized BW "elitists" for just wanting BW with better graphics.
Dakota, are you 12 years old? I hate playing an RTS in 3d, the entire feel is fucked and I can't imagine anyone who is post puberty would really have a problem with "graphics". I can't imagine anyone who is competitive in an RTS or any game to really give a shit about graphics at all, actually, unless it hindered gameplay (oh shit, it does that in sc2!!).
Awesome for Stats on his humongous raise, anyone have any idea when we will get to see him post op? Also, are they constantly renewing Violet's contract and he is still getting paid/ treated like a player despite having to sit in a hospital all day? That's pretty baller if that's the case. GO GO KT!

Good to hear some good news. I'm guessing Bisu will get a pretty hefty raise. I'm really glad for Stats, and hope Violet, Flash, and Light Girl get well soon.
Also, Harem is awesome.

I know this is suppose to be an upbeat thread, so sorry to be debbie downer here. At this point in time, who gives a shit about the structure of the league when even the league itself was in question? I think most of us will take all the good news that we can get right about now. Let's put it this way. 1. There's a lot of fans who care about BW(high ratings) 2. There's a lot of money in BW(high player salary) 3. There's a lot of players in BW(best RTS players in the entire world) 4. THere's a lot of infrastructure in BW(2 cable channels So why is it that half the league is saying "Screw this. Forget it"? KT can give Stats a 100% raise. Yet Hwaseung thinks a team with Jaedong on it is not worth sponsoring. Do you not see the problem here?
maybe just maybe the problem is not with BW and its scene? Financial crisis got to Korea and its time to cut corners? Just guessing.

This is the first time I've heard about Light girl. Even though I found out about her because of a tragedy, the story still makes me smile. I really hope she can make it through

Hooray for good news Hurry up Bisu!

Awesome stuff. I can't wait to see Stats' new chin! Hahahaha
And Light girl will truly be the ultimate Light fan- she can say she actually has his blood flowing in her veins!
And big thanks to Harem! <3
