It does makes sense to me. When sAviOr was winning, he had a great personality that goes with the dominance. When Flash was doing the same thing, his persona didn't really fit into his dominance. So maybe the viewers didn't really like that and therefore having less love for the scene.

Korean netizens were talking about this too though. They were saying that OGN's ratings started to fall from the 2009-2010 season onwards. But of course that probably had more to do with the match-fixing scandal and the Blizzard conflict.

When i see the crowd for the recent PL finals and STX cup finals it's amazing, BW isnt dead at all. The korean professional BW communities need to group together, to make changes to stay strong and that's what they're doing imo.

I mean the PL was very hard to follow if you didnt dedicate at least 3 hours per day to watch the whole thing. And if you add the OSL and MSL games it was near impossible. So what will happen? If KeSPA finds sponsors then Oz will not disband, will it? Very confusing shit.

How is it confusing? when a sponsor pulls out, KeSPA tries to find another company to sponsor the team, in which case the team can stay together. If not, the team disbands, and then KeSPA works to get the players drafted into existing teams.

But if a new sponsor can be found (eg. Hyundai), you may have Hyundai Oz or whatever else Hyundai wants to name their team.

Hwaseung is the brand that suffers the most among all sponsors. Instead of calling the team "Hwaseung Oz", fans call it "Jaedong Oz", so the name "Hwaseung" is completely replaced by "Jaedong". Although for other one-man teams, fans keep the brand name (KT Flash, SKT Bisu, Samsung Stork...). So they cannot promote their brand -> quit esport.
