Sounds like you are an american wrestling fan... The main story of any competitive event is the best winning, everything else is a bonus. It's amazing that for such a long post I disagree with every point you make. 1. They give a lot of fuck given PL finals were to be hosted in China, and yet I meant why we feel it's in a drag. 2. That's exactly what I meant with It's actually a testimony to the future of ESPORTS that there's even a shipping company on board. 3. You can't read very well because every fiber of my body hates pro wrestling. I meant storylines in addition to the competition, not replacing it. Think SlayerS_BoxeR.

The PL final just showed that it still has massive reach to a certain demographic, the TV stats were good. I suppose we can't expect every team to run indefinitely when it is only a loss, but if they made the team in the first place, surely it's still 'promoting' their brand to the same demographic just as much as it was before. Now this is the reason why an organization like KeSPA is a good thing, since it's possible prehaps in the future there could be structures in place for a sponsor to pass the baton as it were without any disbanding and free agent stuff. The people running Proleague are responsible as well here, they should be approaching companies and making offers to try and keep their league actually active with teams. Make agreements with companies who have an interest already; Like ask Korean Air to run a team, and have OSL sponsorship for some seasons as a as part of it. I'm pretty sure there's gotta be companies out there at least willing to sponsor a small Wemade FOX sized team for Proleague. Just an aside but SKT1 and KT are like the Chelsea and Manchester City of Starcraft and some of their actions have negatively affected eSports as a whole and reduced the competitiveness. Not to such a serious degree but still. There's surely still room for smaller teams. It's not the end of the world though if there is no replacements, many leagues are of this kind of size. Let's just hope it stabilizes afterwords, the big companies stick around and have bigger teams, and eventually show that eSports is still a viable sponsorship platform. This out-of-season might be negative, but who knows what the next could be like. Let's hope for the best and TV ratings staying good and overall hype around the players and teams keeps up, and you never know: some new teams might pop up.

One can hope. If he dethrones TaekBangLeeSsang and starts dominating like Savior, I'm sure it would bring a lot of new and old fans back. I don't think this is that far-fetched since he showed before he quit that he had the upper hand on both Bisu and Flash. With a bit of ZvZ practice with Hydra, and some consistency he can go really far.

I remember watching him from his infancy until his championship run and while people thought he was a great player, there just wasn't that connection. I mean, most people called him AlienZerg and thought he had really slick play. But that was about it. He's got none of the charm, charisma, ruthlessness, or god-like reliability like TaekBangLeeSsang.

I mean if it's confirmed, why are we speculating? Spill the beans already and tell us which team it is. It's getting tiresome.

I agree with meshing up all the teams that were disbanded under one team but they can do well without hyungjoon player . Overall it's nice to speculate which team is going under the carpet but than until the real stories gets announced it's better to keep this discussion low .

There's a high chance it might happen, but there's actually no official announcement yet. Until the company actually announces it's pulling sponsorship, I doubt the media can publish the name of the company. The speculation started with the citynews article I believe (link was posted somewhere in the Wemade is disbanding thread), then Fomos picked up on the story. Anyway, there's nothing we can do but just wait.

It will take another very reputation/look oriented gamer with the skills to match.

If only Bisu had more personality. Sigh. But actually, Stork might have taken on that role had he not failed so miserably against Fantasy in the previous OSL final. ![]()
