gravity of the situation (imo)
Also they are main sponsors of MBCSea, I believe.
Plus we have some speculations about STX going on sales and Wemade Fox disbanding.
My bw T_T
I worry about takken guys, do they have any other channels for them?

Keep any SC2 vs BW comments out of this thread. This is a thread about Brood War and Esports (Tekken Crash, Special Forces, etc) in general. If you discuss what this means for ESPORTS be sensitive about it.

Childhoods? Are you for real? I hope you had good intentions but what you wrote sounds really really wrong and actually offensive to me.

Trying to link the dots in my head, a couple of things pop in my mind: - have sponsors/teams been renewing contracts recently? If so, that would be a big sign that they know (or they believe it is likely) that the situation will be somehow solved. - could the recent agreement between KESPA and Blizzard have something to do with this? - obviously dropping an e-sports channel is bad news for e-sports, but perhaps BW is not the problem. Perhaps it is the other games that do not attract enough attention. Edit: the guy who posted the Jaedong video is a hero.

At least ANIBOX will turn into game channel. -_- As long as I keep getting my dose of other E-Sports content on other channels, I'll be content.

Sorry, this is extremely condescending and thoughtless. Liquipedia does not host tournaments, battle.net attack, interviews with BW pros, or former pros playing UMS games with the intention of spreading knowledge about unit usage/composition. Liquipedia is a fan-based resource and as such it's not complete. Most of the people who contribute to it don't even speak Korean. If I took the time to learn the language, wouldn't I feel vexed that half of what is important to me vanishes due to corporate decisions? Sure. That's the world, it sucks that breaking even isn't enough for MBC, but this definitely bigger than you make it to be. I fail to see how is this 'bittersweet' when its effects are wholly negative. Liquipedia won't stream new games, Liquipedia won't scream 리버리버리버리버리버리버!!! I actually care about the repercussions of this. What will happen to the pro-teams? Will OGN stream proleague on its own? Is a monopoly good for the industry that is BW? Will pros work harder to win the single individual league or begin withdrawing from the game? What about EffOrt?-he just came back to BW after a few months of hiatus goddamit. I sincerely hope fans of MBC Game will do as much as humanly possible to prevent this tragedy from actually occurring.

You need to actually read people's posts before you just jump in here. You clearly didn't even understand mine, nor did you read the rest of the replies that I made in this thread, in which I mention that I played BW for 5 years and am not happy about this either. Oh yea, and if its history its not lost forever. And no, nobody owes you anything like that, no matter how cool or foundational you think the game is. What a ridiculous argument

There is nothing bittersweet about this. lmao My God. I've explained this at least 40 times in this thread alone and Vul your intentions might be good, but still there is no need to harp on one thing. History you say? We can keep making more history with MBC Game and once again it goes far beyond BW. Instead of nitpicking with one another. FOR ESPORTS! Goodness gracious big balls of fire. I swear some people need some sense knocked into them. Badly.

i love bw for what it is because it is in truth not really a sport as much as a cultural phenomenon that was korea-centric that became socially accessible. the other character-less video games should just remain as video games. let BW's legacy stand uncontested.
