I think they're both still able to compete, even if Reach's recent games have been a little shoddy, but they don't get much air time. Also, my money's on KT will start merchandising Flash brand rulers. It will feature metric, imperial, and a slide rule which is set up calculate the correct spatial layout of monitor, keyboard, warmer, mouse, and mouse pad to any given desk surface area and height.

There were rumors that KT (the company not the team) were sponsoring a GSL season, but of course, they were just rumors. However don't necessarily think that a player is coming back or whatever, maybe it's just coincidence that Hite got effort back a week or so before they announce their own, announcement.

GSL and the WC are going to be sponsored by LG and the GSTL is already well underway so I think it's pretty much confirmed that KT's not involved in that right now anyway.

Well if effort get to his old level, Hite Entus will be a powerhouse next season (except maybe during WL), so they'll be kind of imbalanced. And honestly, Oz would need a lot more players that just Bisu to balance this (actually, better send Hiya and JD to SKT1 i'd be faster).

BUT if KT buys Stork and SKT1 buys JD, then PL would be pretty boring and the PO finals will be the same every year, so hopefully none of these speculations will come true, never. Only one or two scenarios would be more ridiculous, like TLBS in one team, but to be honest this would be just boring...

Also, people talking about how could KT afford it: KT has lost both ForGG and Luxury from their budget recently, both players bought from other teams who, I imagine, were a bit costly. The only new player who seems like he could be any bit of a salary hit is Action. I could definitely see the team having plenty of payroll leftover from losing their 2 big "bought" contracts in the last year.

I really hope Stork isn't moving to KT btw. This teams are getting unbalanced as it is, Proleague will be ruined if the smaller teams kept having all their players picked off. I suppose this is why the free agent rules were there to begin with, to discourage one team offering best contracts to the top players. There needs to be some way to make things fair :/
Despite Great's statement, KT said the news wasn't as big as EffOrt returning right? A transfer of this importance would definitely be bigger.
There is also the possibility that the coach just couldn't resist to drop a hint and upon realizing , he is trying to tone down the whole thing by saying " it is nothing big" so people would not speculate like crazy.
After all, it is probably unsettling for Khan ( fans + team) if the whole scene is noisy about it. So KT probably wants to show more "respect"

NOOO NOT JANGBI! I couldn't bare to root for him if he was on KT. Also hoping its not stork because that would be just ridiculous, but especially not jangbi! Any one else going to KT would be fine.
And to the speculations surrounding 4 characters, My limited knowledge of hangul tells me that Khan is 4 letters, so it could be that. (although I think that great would no put the correct number of characters to what he was referring to so that people wouldn't be able to do this.)

That might have something to do with Januarys anti commerce stance, where she emphasized in an interview that Khan was concentrating more about developing themselves as players rather than getting as much sponsor money as possible. Well guess that will come back to bite them
I would feel really sorry for Samsung Khan if Stork actually transfers. Stork has been the reason I keep choosing Khan in my Liquidbet, and I don't know how they'll do without their star Protoss.
Oh well. If it's Jangbi, then IMO it's a bit less damage to Khan's publicity compared to if Stork left. The KT Protoss lineup would do well with Jangbi and his perfect storms, especially with Stats gaining some momentum in the league.

True. Man, KT will be just ridiculous if they buy both Stork and Jangbi. Simply ridiculous. You're right, might as well hand over the PL trophies to KT if they buy KHAN's toss powerhouses. If Stork isn't going to KT and is going somewhere else though, that'll be better for the BW scene, even if he goes to Hwaseung and wrecks face with Jaedong. Stork going to SKT would be the 2nd worst decision imo, since every toss fan dreams of a Bisu + Stork archon annihilating everyone, but that will never happen since SKT isn't looking to buy new players and is pretty satisfied with just Bisu himself.

SKT already has 2 S class players.. this move will further deepen the class differences of the teams Look at MBC already, their player situation in ELO ratings is pretty sad, this will wreck khan aswell so there will be 4 super teams skt, kt, hite,woongjin. the others will struggle to keep up with them especially with BO7 matches

Light is the highest ELO guy on Woongjin. Hard to imagine him not being a workhorse every match once he becomes adapted. And on the same note, that is why Stork is so critical for Khan. They dont have any other 2150+ level guy who could pull solid kill streaks every match, so theyre looking to be very bland as a fan to cheer to.
So from Yellows entry they are definitely getting a player from Khan? This is pissing me off a lot. KT is TOP and already has an extremely strong team. Why fuck up a team that isn't in competition with them by taking a player? I think there should be a transfer window or something to stop this. It will completely unbalance proleague not to mention stop another player from getting good playtime on KT. Maybe Stats wouldn't even be as good as he is now if there was already a strong toss on the team.
Sigh. This isn't big news to me at all, it's just bad news and i'm not even a Khan fan. But in the interests of competitiveness i hate this. I don't see how anyone can be happy about this unless they are a total KT fanboy and don't have anything else in mind. He didn't say WJ was bland, just that Light has the highest Elo on their team and potentially being the bread and butter of that team.
Don't really want to see Stork/Jangbi move to KT personally. If anything KT needs another terran, and maybe another zerg. Besides, without Stork Khan won't stay afloat too long.

Don't you feel bad for the Khan fans the fact you're team is possibly going to take one of their top players when you actually don't need it at all? I don't want to see teams get gutted and dissolved. You'd have to be a seriously blind fanboy to not see what very well could possibly happen if the talent keeps getting taken from the smaller teams.
I think KeSPA should somehow get involved here. BW is not sustainable like a typical sport whereby the teams can simply buy the smaller teams best players. If this happens the other teams could very well just fold and nobody wants that.

To draw an analogy, how would you feel if Flash was sold to SKT? KT would be devesated, have no viable ace player apart from Stats and have to fight a team who is already one of the best(Being SKT).
I know i'd be sad if Jaedong were to ever leave OZ for SK or KT.
If the player turns out to be Jangbi, I don't see how it would be much different. Jangbi's slumping bad, and Khan has solid toss line in Stork and Brave. what Khan needs is for Turn and Reality to mature.
Besides, prior to 2006, teams other than SKT and KT were pretty much piss poor. GO developed a bunch of players just to have them plucked away by richer teams.

I think i speak for most when i say, we want the scene right now to have some stability. With the lawsuits, teams shutting down/merging, match fixing scandal, some big names leaving, the last thing we want is more change. It feels like a very real threat of even more shit happening if transfers go through. Jangbi wouldn't be such a big deal but it still feels wrong. This is why there's such a bad reaction compared to transfer years ago.
Also on the note of criticism of SKT1 which i definitely agree with (Fantasy/BeSt/Bisu get played constantly), how about the Kwanro transfer too? Seemed totally pointless and appeared to take his will out of even progaming :/
Fantasy is obviously not for sale. That leaves Stork/Jangbi/Great. Judging from Great's blog and Yellow's post, there is only one Kongliner who shall enter KT. Perhaps we misintepreted Great's post, and he shall be the one to enter KT. Otherwise, that leaves Jangbi.

When light leave mbc I thoght: OMG mbc is so screwd, than they beat kt and tyson, jaehoon, hyun, started to play very decent. And they still have sea who could beat anyone.
It means the companies are still interested in esports and are willing to pay big bucks to have strong players in their team.
Samsung Khan is not a silly team. They know how to negotiate and if they think that they can compete with one of their star players leaving them, then good for them.
Khan has been struggling for a while now. They are doing what's right for the team by growing their younger players and giving them a chance. This is the only way they will become a strong team in the future. Transferring old timers is not going to contribute to the long term future of the team.
There's nothing stopping Khan from buying talent either. None of the teams in proleague are poor.
And no, I don't feel upset for light because I thought it was a great move by woongjin. They needed a solid player to be more competitive. They are still near the bottom of the league.
And I'd just like to reiterate...Flash is home grown talent and Bisu is from MBC.

I had this idea already when KT bought Action. There should be some kind of drafting system, like in the NBA. But I guess all the strange KeSPA rules regarding free agency is to prevent these things from happening.

It would suck if it was Stork, honestly. It would mean Flash and Stork only go against each other in individual leagues and even then it's a weird team kill scenario. Yes. Ever since Lost Saga, he's been playing like an ass. Just like Luxury, but no one's paying Jangbi. (Aside from beating Calm in playoffs finals, I dont think he has done anything noteworthy)
He is only capable of being good at 1 MU at a time apparently. He's so inconsistent to the point he has the highest PvT ELO peak but now his PvT is literally the bottom 5 of A team Protoss players.

Going to be pretty sad if it's Stork transferring to KT. When I think of Khan, the very first things I think of are Stork and January. I remember when there was some drama surrounding Khan a couple months back, with January fighting to keep salaries high for her players, or something along those lines. I thought everything worked out. If Stork transfers entirely due to the money, I'll be very disappointed/sad.

I was never a fan of bigger companies buying homegrown talent because I see that as stealing other team's players, but that's just how the world of sports, along with eSports works, and fans can't do anything about that. Yes, that means I never really liked July/Bisu getting bought by SKT as well, because their transfers broke the hearts of many MBC fans. It would be horrible if SKT bought Jaedong, because that would most likely wreck OZ for a while and make SKT simply ridiculously overpowered. But that situation is nearly impossible, so luckily we don't have to worry about that.
Tl;dr I'm a fan of homegrown talent over simply just buying players to bolster your team. But like great said: In the end, everything is about money.
Edit: The only exception to my dislike of teams buying other team's players is if a team desperately needs a stronger player to help them. SKT buying GoRush was a good decision, and even though SKT pretty much sucked the will out of Kwanro to game anymore, I hoped that he would have helped boost SKT's Zerg line. Their transfers weren't approved by CJ fans as well, but GoRush contributed more than Kwanro to SKT.

Yes, buying players off of other teams kind of sucks. If teams actually traded players of similar values that would be OK by me, but I never see that happen.

I guess what I'm saying is that I frown on purchases made when a player is at his peak (Bisu, Light, Kwanro, Luxury) because it really shafts the selling team from a progaming perspective if not from a money perspective. But if a player is transfered when he's having a really hard time, it makes me wonder whether it can't be the best thing for the player.

True, there is always the possibility that a player transferring to another team does better and goes on a hot streak. IF Jangbi goes over to KT, I hope that their practice environment will help him break out of his slump and go on a rampage again. Then I'd finally sort of somewhat approve of KT buying Jangbi, but if he doesn't improve there, then KT would have wasted their money and time.

Great is complaining about another player's move, so he himself isn't going to be moving.
No one has talked about Jangbi yet, even though he is a Kong. Therefore, I have a feeling that Jangbi is going to join Stats and boost the KT Protoss lineup with his amazing storms.

Jangbi said in an interview that he's not as interested in the game as he was before, most likely because he has been losing so many games left and right. And you want all this players to be competitive and able to provide result. So, ideally you need 6 good players and bare minimum is 4. KT has only 3 (Flash, Stats, Action) and Action is quite unstable. Hoejja, Barracks and Perfective can score some random win, but they are no good in comparison with rookies form the other teams (e.g. Turn, Reality or by.Sun, Afrotoss etc).

Its still better than Oz(who also only has 3 a-team level players howevery they are all a bit worse than KT equivalents), and now with weakaneed MBC and soon to be Khan its looking pretty bad for balance
Jangbi going to KT really makes sens. He is so far away from his potential level of play now (everyone hwo saw him when he got the two silvers know what I'm talking about!). KT recently lost Luxury, ForGG and Violet; they need a deeper lineup for the bo7s. And Khan has got a lot of young rookies that need to play anyway.

Some events overlapped? Maybe the two events, someone leaving Khan and KT's big news, just happened to coincide with each other and they're not related at all. Maybe that's why YellOw took down his post? He could have misunderstood or was incorrect.

Edit 2: I don't think it's a transfer from Khan at all. Great's post seems to hint that only the veteran players are aware, since Brave doesn't seem to know. There was that huge scandal involving Stork, JangBi, and January awhile back too. After Stork made an announcement about not leaving Khan, I don't think he'd go back and change it. I'm thinking, more likely great is talking about Jangbi, or like someone else said, himself, but it's completely unrelated to the KT news, because of the above.

JangBi would be a good trade for KT imo. They just need to bring back the hunger, which shouldn't be so hard in such a successful team. great could probably be a decent trade since KT lacks Zerg depth, but honestly, I don't think great is good enough for a trade to be worth it.

Aww I really liked Jangbi, he was, I felt, after Bisu the protoss with the most overall potential of being a dominantly good protoss with solid all round gameplay. I really wanted to see him capture his old form.

I highly doubt it's match fixing. After seeing what happened to the original match-fixers, I have serious trouble believing someone would try to do it again, especially one of the big-namers.

As good as he used to be (IMO, was more impressive than Stork and only second to Bisu for a good year), Jangbi has completely tanked. I'm surprised Khan plays him as often as they do. He's been absolutely terrible.
I feel really sorry for the guy. When he lost to Luxury in the MSL final, he looked more disappointed than any other runner up I can think of. He hasn't been the same since.
I also remember that MSL final for a very awkward celebration from KT. You could tell that KT wasn't all that crazy about the whole thing, but they had to do the obligatory lifting him up in the air and champagne. It didn't seem like Lux was that popular.

My impression is that it's not going to be anything big. I actually tweeted Coach Lee and he's like "things have gotten way too big T__T" so I'm guessing it won't be anything too big. Nada won his double championship directly after moving to KT in Dec 02 (Panasonic OSL, KPGA 4), Luxury won an MSL when he was hardly even considered a title contender beforehand, and while you can say Nal_rA and Reach never won another title, they were incredibly potent players and perennial deep starleague runners for years to come after their transfer (Nal_rA was the closest thing both Oov and Savior had to a challenge before they were both unseated). Add Chojja to that, he also won his only title in KT after eating some silvers at the hands of Nada before.
I mean, it took action, what, 3 months before he was back to playing just as good if not better than he was in Estro? (he didn't have a winning record on Estro's roster) It's all about individual player adjustment.

hmmm jangbi isn't likely to be transferred suddenly as he has to play msl still so transferring him when he has to qualify for the mst isn't a good thing so that strikes out the possibility of jangbi coming to kt . Most likely about a news of kt getting more sponsors and food for them to enjoy during their practice :D .

Ok, sure, makes sense. He was getting little playtime with Zero and Soulkey around so KT bought a decent zerg off of them, similar to Kwanro. Not to mention after taking up Light's contract they probably want to cut some of the salaries they have to pay.
I actually wouldn't have minded much if Stork moved to KT :X Khan is just so inconsistent and/or lacks solid players besides Stork. Stork is the only player with a 2200+ ELO, and the next strongest all have ELOs of 2100+ (great, brave, and turn), and none of them are particularly reliable. In fact, right now, I really don't care much for teams as long as the games are awesome... .__.
KT just didn't have a solid zerg lineup (Action is ok, but he's inconsistent, and who's after him?), so this should help bolster that. CH should get a lot more playtime now than he did at woongjin where he was behind Zero and Soulkey.

KT's coach says that he thinks that Crazy-Hydra is exactly the player they need to bolster their Zerg line for Rounds 5 and 6, and recruited him in order for KT to go to the PL finals again. Yeeeah, DES says that KT's Zerg line record is currently standing at 24:35, so they kinda needed a stronger Zerg player, and they say that "KT's Zerg Ace" Action's playstyle is more focused on macro, while Crazy-Hydra's is more focused on all-ins and micro, so KT hopes to bring the best of both worlds.
CH has been playing very well lately, I hope he does well and improves. Action is good but we can all agree unless he plays his best hes terribly inconsistent (despite some good games he is still losing as well).
I think KT really needs another strong protoss player tho, I know stats is great but KT seem very 1 dimensional

It's an alright acquisition. I guess they figure their fourth spot is a little thin. Flash, Stats, Action...and then nobody who can hold a ~50% winning percentage.
I'll always be a Hoejja fan though, so its a little disappointing he's even further down on the line now. Really wanted Violet to be miraculously cured somehow.

I think that going to KT... this is just my theory, no sources to corroborate at all but in my opinion, Flash is not someone who makes his teammates better but instead feeds off them by crushing them in practice. Which is totally fine. But going to play with Flash doesn't mean the Terran-God is going to suddenly bestow you with a portion of his enlightenment. It means you're going into the belly of the beast, forced to play him over and over and eventually lose to him over and over again. Good luck keeping your playing career intact.

Yellow's post was possibly shopped, and Great was probably pissed off at in-house drama. Hopefully he was mad about something trivial, like his teammates not buying him dinner or something.

i think some specificity in order. CH of the last month is better than KT Action. Estro Action is just as good or better than CH of the last month. And Estro Action is definitely better than the old CH.
Action can be really good, especially in ZvT, but he just hasn't been playing all that well since he changed teams. If we go by how they played the past season I'd say that CH has been playing a little better.
Action was never good (you might go on about his few impressive games, yet he fails results statistics will show you the truth) and he hasn't been performing as well as KT hoped. CH has been doing well lately, and this will help KT (assuming CH plays as well as he is capable).
Either way, maybe this will motivate action/ch with some in-team competition and hopefully both perform better than they are, then KT will stop being a one man team. (stats playing well lately but how long will it last? we'll see)
All that hype for an average player transferring to the team? Big news for KT I guess. They desperately need better zergs. I was hoping for good news about Violet though.
So when I first checked the title, I thought "WTF". I thought it would be either 1) not a transfer 2) a transfer involving Khan 3) some retarded mundane news item.
I dunno about C-H though. Sure, KT needs zerg depth, but C-H is not that awesome, but I guess the transfer is still guaranteed to be a benefit to some degree.

However after thinking about it, CH is a good 50% player that KT badly needs after the line up being thinned out by ForGG's retirement and Violet's illness (not to mention the change in PL format -__-). Overall this is an acquisition that I'm fairly satisfied with. Good on KT to realise that they needed 1 or 2 players more to really compete.

It's absolutely hilarious how bad the timing of this announcement was. Normally we wouldn't be so disappointed, but after the announcement regarding Effort's return, this just seems incredibly lame.
I hope this new environment is really productive for Crazy-Hydra, even though he's gonna slump after he gets owned by Flash a few times. I check CH previous record and he won stats so that doesn't mean that he is some scrub at top 50 he could be the next bonjwa probably a better chances reaching that level compared to woongjin stack ace zerg players . Can't wait to field out Ch for zvz and action for zvp definitely a welcome change to KT's one man army as honestly i want to deny Kt is not kt flash it's hard although it seems with the stepping up of players like stats,action,perfective and barracks plus CH winning the proleague seems like much a more closer dream than it will probably be . Definitely didn't expect to get Crazy-Hydra, but I guess they felt they needed to reinforce their Zerg line, which is clearly their weakest. I am a bit surprised though since Action has recently been getting back into form. However, I'd definitely put Crazy-Hydra above everybody not Flash, Stats, Action, so KT now has a solid 4th option going forward (until Violet recovers). I'm assuming he won't be able to play until next round?

You seem to forget that WL is (soon) over.
Remember how KT often didn't even manage to get to the ace match in R1/R2 because only Flash and Stats knew how to win games consistently. KT only has three 50%-or-better players (Flash, Stats, Action); they need at least *six* to be competitive when it's back to the regular Bo7 format.
Crazy-Hydra is much better than the other current non-top-3 players on KT (apart *maybe* from Yellow and on a good day Tempest). I'm sure he will be playing almost all the time.

Seriously, though, KT needs a little more depth to provide competition and practice for their A-team. With C-H, KT's zerg line has gone from bad to mediocre, but they still should get an A-class player of each race. ForGG, Luxury and Violet were very, very big losses for KT's depth.
A bit underwhelming, but it's a good move for both Crazy-Hydra and KT. C-H is at least as good as Action, and he's not stuck behind Zero and Soulkey anymore.

Oh come on, Kts situation is way better than that of Oz and Ace. It was already better before ch's transfer and now its about on par with khan and mbc. it is balanced compared to the other teams, this kind of strength is good for esports. More kt players would be bad for esports
Kt has more money I guess, either way it looks like KT is finally gaining a good zerg. CH wasn't doing anything in Woongjin anwyay(atleast, he wasn't able to play because he just didn't get send out, then he does and AKs lol). Still interested how they will do in regular rounds(I fully expect Hite entus and SKT to take most games there)
Oz's lineup is oke but its is too unstable(I mean wtf Hiya and Killer, how can you suck so much in regular and then fucking pwn in winner league), we lack a solid protoss and Hiya ain't the most solid T either(Although the guy can play pretty well when at his best). So yea, KT's lineup sadly looks much better then Oz.
Nice. If they would've gotten Stork or someone similar it would've made them completely imba and that wouldn't be fun at all. This adds a little depth to the awful Zerg line of KT (where Action is the only one capable of being decent), which will be much needed now that WL is over.

Hype-wise, disappointing, but a decent pickup for KT I guess. CH is a good role player for the next two rounds, helps shore up some holes in the lineup. I'd take Crazy over hoejja and the random kids that KT will try to replace Violet with any day.
KT shouldn't be allowed anymore players they have enough. Even a smaller move like this is weakening the league. Spend time making your own players (cough cough Action) better instead. As people are saying why saturate their team with even more players? How much playtime is Action, Perfective, Hoejja and CH going to get between them now?

Quite a lot actually, Stats and Flash are guaranteed, behind them the new order would be roughly: 3. Crazy Hydra, 4. Action, 5. Perfective 6. Hoejj / Tempest / Barracks. KT is really improving their line-up with this move as they are still severely lacking after Flash/Stats. CH goes from having a decent shot at a line-up spot to pretty much being guaranteed one so its definitely not a transfer just for the sake of it!

Let's be fair, I'm pretty sure Crazy-Hydra has the best W-L record of all Woongjin Zergs in PL right now although it's really just that ZerO and Soulkey decided to suck this year. Seems like a strong pickup by KT.
people don't realize how good CH is. He's always been streaky but he beats a lot of great players when he's on and is never a bad field. He just sat buried on Stars for so long, this is great for everyone involved. One of the most fun players to watch, period. This can only be good.
