The news is out today that GomTV acquired a new sponsor (as well as strategic marketing partnership) with LG Electronics.
LG Electronics will be sponsoring GSL World Champsionship, upcoming GSL May, and the Super Tournament.
In return, there will be LG product placements in GSL such as LG TV, monitors, and laptops.

//tx Super Tournament will be Code S + Code A 64 man tournament with GSL Open sized prizepool.
Edit: LG is pretty big, I do wonder what happened to KT though. Maybe LG outbid em? Either way LG is a huge Korean based global company. Really loving this! :D

Rumor has it that there was a conflict of interest as KT is involved in BW progaming scene (KT Rolsters).
But that's just a rumor though, but fairly believable.

I do believe they at least considered it cause the same thing was "rumored" to have happened with one of SKT's subsidiaries. Oh wells, LG Electronics is really really good anyway. GOM is doing so well to be working with major corporations lately.

LG was a previous sponsor of GOM from their BW leagues (as was Intel and Blizzard for that matter) so it's not that surprising.

Originally that was (kinda unofficaially) what LG stood for.
Now they tend to push Life's Good instead.

I wonder how much the foreign viewer ship played a role in getting a new sponsor :D.
LG must really like the idea of having ten of thousands 14-25 years old watching their products in the GSL :D .
Poor Samsung wont sponsor SC2 anytime soon.
Anyways good news
