As we all know, the off-season is about to end, and as it does, proleague begins anew. However, it is well known that fanboys will make foolish predictions about this new seasons, unaware of the truth. I am here to show you the way and reveal why only SKT can be #1 this time around.
Consistency
Who is the one who has succeeded more times than anyone else in the e-sports world? Who has been there since the beginning? None other than SK Telecom T1. Indeed, they have made the last 2 proleague finals, and out of their own kindness they allowed KT to take the Proleague Finals gold simply because they were looking to increase their silver count(because silver looks pretty nice too, and who wouldn't want a little silver with their gold?). But that has passed, and they have come back to reclaim their throne. And to reach their goal, they will continue to destroy the teams that stand in their way for the next year.
The SKT Masters Cup
This is a tournament that was created by STX in order to get some easy wins. But for the last 2 years, SKT has shown themselves to be more than capable of beating even these rigged standards with ease, as shown by two simple all-kills in the finals of the last two years. Even in rigged tournaments like this one and the super ace format of proleague 08-09, SKT can triumph. So when there is a fair condition, you can bet that it will be SKT that wins.
Diversity and Depth
As we all know, SKT has not one, not two, not even three, but four viable ace players: Bisu, BeSt, Fantasy and Kwanro. And it has five more good players: Ssak, Canata, Soo_SKT, Hyuk, and s2. This is depth not seen in any other team. Not only that, but it also has a diverse range of styles. In the terran line, we have the strategic style of Fantasy, and the boring style of Canata, both influenced by the cheating style of Coach iloveoov. In the protoss line, we have the harass-based style of Bisu and the macro style of BeSt. The zerg line is filled with the all-in style of Kwanro, the mutaling style of Hyuk, and the unpredictable style of s2 and Soo_SKT. No team will be able to match this massive variation in their style and will burn out in their futile attempts to match them. No other team is capable of combating so many unique threats.
Legend of the Fall
The summer is hottest just before the fall. And I assure you, the fall is coming.
Fall is approaching, and it is time for the protoss to rise to power. And who is to lead this resurgence but Bisu, the king of Protoss, and Best, his trusty terran killer? As it has been written, the Six Dragons will rise again, and with it, SKT shall reclaim its rightful place as the leader of this revival. The old age of terran shall come falling down, and with it any chance teams like KTFlash ever had at victory. The protoss of SKT will take his place in dominating the scene.
Mascot Power
Which other team has successfully implemented a mascot? That's right, none of them. But SKT defied all odds and made it work. And with the help of newly found spirit from the zerg they acquired from the eSTRO draft, they will all have the power to carry the team to victory against all odds.
The Fans
Every team has some fans, even the worst teams. Most of these fans are teenagers or people in their 20s. But SKT's star player Bisu has a fan as young as three years old. It is impossible for a team other than the best one of all to have such dedicated fans. This proves how powerful SKT really is.
The Coming of Age
As we all know, BoxeR has left to play Starcraft 2. But while his primary motivation may have been to continue to play in his 30s, the only reason he was able to leave is because his pupil, Fantasy, is ready to succeed him. And indeed, that can be seen by the improvement in his TvZ record from a mediocre into an impressive one. He also has shown his newly found ability to play bio. And as BoxeR leaves the scene, Fantasy will realize his true destiny and help lead SKT to its place at #1.
The Macro Monster
BeSt, as we all know, has the best macro in the world, easily making 50 gateways and 50 more(and of course, not losing). He has shown how truly effective an endless stream of units can be in his current 11 game winning streak against terran. But not only is he a terran slayer, but he has now gained the ability to fight the zerg as well, with dark templar so effective that they manage to slaughter 38 zerg before finally being defeated. He will prove to be a major asset in SKT's victory this season.
The All-in Maestro
Kwanro is a player known all too well for his power to win games through the use of all-in strategies. He recently transferred to SKT from Woongjin. While he may have been largely unsuccessful before, with such a talented group of players he will learn the ability to win macro games and he will teach even the weakest of players how to topple the competition even when the disparity in skill level looks insurmountable.
The Coaching
That's right, SKT is the team with the absolute greatest coaching. Not only do they have the talented coach Park, but also numerous successful race-specific coaches to guide their players into victory. The zergs have already shown their potential to return from mediocrity into prosperity, leading into a series of 3-0 victories for SKT. But in 1 season, they were not yet used to having the amazing power they possessed. In this second season, they will be more able to harness this power and win.
The Lesser Players
These include Ssak, Canata, Hyuk, s2, and Soo_SKT. While they have not yet proved their power to stay excellent, this is their season to shine. And even if one player falls into a slump mid-season, there will be someone there to win for them and keep SKT at its #1 spot.
The Revolutionist
Why is this last? Simply because it is the most important. Bisu is the Bonjwa Killer, The Master of Knives, The Revolutionist, and the undisputed greatest protoss of all time. 3 years ago he destroyed the unbeatable sAviOr and showed protoss that zerg can be defeated. 2 years ago he lead the Six Dragons into a protoss age of prosperity. And after months of slumping and a postseason of recuperation, he will return and reclaim his place as the greatest player of all time. This age of LeeSsang will finally end as Bisu returns. He will be the star of SKT and the greatest player of all. The dagger-wielding assassin will once again cut through each and every one of his opponents and reclaim his place at the top. While his PvT is considered to be his worst matchup, he still possesses the #3 PvT ELO peak of all time. With a player so impressive, SKT's victory is assured.
And there you go. 10-11 is the year of SK Telecom T1.
KT has better depth. Stats is better than both Best and Bisu. Flash is better than Fantasy. Forgg is better Canata. Action is better than any SKT zerg. And Violet just gives them more depth. 'nuf said
Am I crazy or is Bisu there twice in the first picture? Other than that, good thread. Can't wait to see what BeSt and Fantasy can pull out this season.
SKT FIGHTING!!!! EDIT: THis is the first time that I got first page on an important page. I'm a HUUUUUUUUUUGE SKT fan because of BoxeR. I am slightly, no really sad to see him leave.:'(

I think the points are in logical order. Besides, the biggest part about SKT hype is pictures of Bisu, so I focused on that. This took way too long to make anyways.
I've always rooted for the underdogs, and so I was always rooting against the bonjwas. When Boxer, Nada and Ilooveoov was running a muck I rooted for Yellow, Reach and Nal_Ra. And every time, I was left disappointed as the bonjwa took another victory over and over again.
And so it was, until I saw another bonjwa Savior getting ready to face off against Bisu in his best match up, ZvP. I was expecting the worst, as Protoss's were getting belted by Zerg.
And Bisu pulled off probably the biggest and probably most defining moment for me in Starcraft Brood War history. We saw one of the most dominant bonjwas taken down and annihilated.
Bisu made me believe that bonjwas are there to be humbled and broken. Savior was smashed, looks like Flash is next. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER!!!
bisu the best protoss? aww hell no stork has that place man
kt gonna roflstomp all over skt-every1 this season (see what i did there) because stats is better than bisu and best COMBINED with the power of the crimson chin, flash owns all (incl. fantasy) action owns all zerg and laughs at kwanro who all-ins every game and lets masses of ultras die to mines, tempest will storm drop everyone and violet is just depth, oh yeah and did I mention forgg who will yamato canata in tha face? we gonna win boys, for sure! KT ROLSTER HWAITINGGG!!! bonjwa style

Well now that NaDa left WeMade, it might be time for me to hop on the SKT train. I think KT is the strongest this season though, with CJ/Hite, Woongjin, and STX being pretty scary as well.

You think SKT isn't the BeSt? You gotta be Hyuking kidding me. KT winning is Soo an impossible Fantasy of yours. SKT will Bisu-per strong this time around and it would be s2pid to think that anyone will beat them. Also, Action is overrated.
I'll believe it when Bisu dominates Flash in the ace match of the Winner League Finals and proceeded to tear his own shirt off to reveal a pair of abs that even Schwarzenegger in his prime would be envious of.
I may be a KT fanboy, but I have a little piece of my heart for Bisu..

Wouldn't that just be awesome. And we all know he's capable of it anytime he decides to play well.

Some solid backhanded complements in this excerpt ^_^.
Unfortunately recruiting a second Bisu won't help SKT enough as Oz has recruited THREE new Zergs that can keep up with Jaedong, as listed here. Double Bisu was pretty funny, though. At first I thought I was seeing things and that I was just a damn, filthy foreigner that still couldn't tell asian faces apart.
[fanboyism] Looking forward to Best teaching Bisu how to macroroll Terrans, Bisu teaching Best how to rape in PvZ, and Bisu in general to just dominating the everliving crap out of everything like we all know he can. Incoming Bisu vs. Jaedong MSL win! Protoss takes a gold!? At the same time, over in the OSL, Fantasy will have perfected his TvT and stop Flash from taking another gold, all while winning the hearts of people everywhere.
Kwanro and Hyuk will team up and exchange tactics. Expect people to get Kwan'd, Hyrolled, Kwyukrolled (Quickrolled?), and even more awesomeness that will have to be seen to be believed.
And of course SKT Zerg will decide that Jaedong has had the limelight for too long and take not just the top, but the top two Zerg spots just to promote better competition during the team practice sessions to keep everybody's skills sharp. [/fanboyism]
In all honesty, the one that feels like having the best chance is Fantasy stopping Flash, which will still be pretty fucking epic. Cannot emphasize how epic his last bo5 against Flash was. It was a TvT, and it was epic, in 5 straight games. How much more can you honestly ask for?
That and Kwanro Hyuking himself and Hyuk Kwanrolling himself. That has a good chance of happening. -.-

Kwanro and Hyuk have a history apparently, and it's to stop any conflicts.

KT will win though. Flash and Action will wear down the resolve of the other players by making each game last an hour.
You may think so, but what will really happen is that Bisu will beat Action in 15 minutes and make him cry again and Canata will be the one to wear Flash down with his 1.5 hour TvT.
Finally a worthy Zerg in SKT roster (besides Hyuk "lol") Hyuk is the new captain cuz he is a practice monster? Anyway looking forward to next season and hoping for Bisu's comeback.

Why the does SKT need a thread about how they are going to win? SKT have won the most team competitions ever. They have one of the best roosters, and with the addition of Kwanro and other teams getting weaker they are almost indestructible right now. They are like the new york yankees on crack.

Bisu knew that was the only mining base of ForGG. Statis all the SCVs means no more income -> no reinforcement. Given the map design ForGG could have gone for hardcore camping at his ramp, while slowly building up his army to a decent amount to crawl out.

I don't even think bisu tries anymore, too much of a pretty boy.
He certainly still has his skill and motivation, he just loses focus too easily. In all the games he lost, he could've done better. But this season it looks like he definitely can get it done as long as he just plays as well as everyone knows he can.

Khan almost died but they didn't change(but they continue to suck), WMF didn't change much, and ACE actually improved as long as its players don't die. Of course, everyone loses some B teamers, but this is probably the hardest BW will ever be hit. And in a few months it should get better.

I don't think so actually. There's probably a reason they didn't send Zero, probably because he isn't playing so well right now. I think that Zero would've been roflstomped if they sent him.

Anyone know the game where Bunkie was messing with the hair of that girl in the audience? It was this season's proleague for sure, but I'm not sure what team they were playing.
I can't believe that SKT seems to have quite a few developing new players despite releasing their "entire B-team" late last year, in the twilight of the scene, since the release of SC2 has really drained away the pool of aspiring players. Other than Turn, who's been kicking ass on KHAN, Sun and Paralyze look like they could become strong players. There's also Princess on Oz, but his skill has yet to be proven.
On November 12 2010 09:47 WhoaDrugs wrote: SKT is like the Yankees. They're the best and probably have the highest paid.
This can't be right. I despise the Yankees but I think SKT is awesome.
There's no team in proleague that's perfectly analogous to the Yankees, but KT and SKT have historically bought the most players from other teams, AFAIK. Of course, one difference is that most of the players KT have bought have cratered rapidly after joining the team, while only some of the players SKT bought have deteriorated drastically (but those that did deteriorate in that manner did so dramatically).
It makes sense for those two companies to budget more to their team since their businesses directly deal with individual consumers, so having a strong team is good for their brand. Some of the other companies involved don't even sell their stuff to individuals so building their brand to the youngsters who make up the majority of the audience isn't as important.

He's clearly out of his slump and playing very well right now, but I'm interested in seeing if he could take on the other greats (Flash, Jaedong, etc.). I think he could, but we won't know until that happens.

Flash for 58 wins for 55 games played last season (not including post season) I don't know if that's a record, but that's more than 1 win per match !
There are only 10 teams this year instead of twelve, but I can't remember if they are going to add an extra round. Also, bo7 format leads to less ace matches statistically. If they don't add an extra round, there won't be as many matches (potential wins) as last season.

Ummm...maybe I'm missing something but aren't you forgetting about the Winner's League rounds? I'm not necessarily saying that Bisu will always start for SKT, but it's at least possible that a player could clock up 4 wins per match if they all-kill.
As to the original question, I'm in agreement with Lightwip. In fact I'd go a little further and say that until Bisu beats one of Flash/JD in a BoX, then there's no reason to believe he's back to his very best. Right now, without Bisu having had the opportunity to prove otherwise, I don't think he's at the level of Flash and JD and therefore I'd say he won't eclipse Flash's record.

It's super tough for KT and Oz with the new bo7, when only flash and JD win consistently. T1 is dominating with all rights, and now that Bisu is crushing left and right I don't see any other team winning this season.

KT beat SKT in the finals last season and it was Bo7 ): Anything is possible. The close games Hwaseung gave SKT are evidence that even the best and worst teams are not so far apart.

Anyone else think its really scary how good skt are at the moment? 10-0ing a round, especialyl in bo7 format. Do they have a weakness? They have top 2 players vs every race (bisu vs z, fanta vs p/t, best vs t, kwanro vs z etc). And so much depth, ssak looked ok until he tried to mech switch today, sun is ballin', soo is being consistant. hyuk! Not to mention the best player in proleague bisu at the moment. its just scary to think how HARD they're gonna pwn everyone this seasaon unless something goes horribly wrong

It would make sense that the team that started the PL legacy wins what seems to be the last PL. Pride!
It seems pretty likely that SK will finish 1st or 2nd overall, giving them plenty of time to prepare for the play-offs. And with plenty of time, the coaching staff normally manages.
And you only won because of a stupid mistake on Mind's part. Besides, which team is better, Khan or WMF? We managed to AK WMF twice too, so sorry, try again. And your false idol did lose to Khan as well...
Only due to a choke on the part of a certain bird protoss, my friend. If your team was good at saving the ace when they're down, you'd have had a better round 1-2 record.

Lol, by the end of winners league, KT will have a better record than SKT.
Now that Bisu can use carriers, who shall stand in our way?
Stork and Flash. Kal to an extent.
I asked who SHALL, not who has in the past. Soon, each of those three will be convincingly dismantled.
Based on the way they have stood I think that future looks very unclear.
Perhaps through the bias glasses of a KT fan. But reality shows otherwise.
Well, reality owned 75% of your team.
Wow that comment is soo smart lol. Props to that.
Honestly I think KT looks stronger at the moment with Perfective and Action stepping up their game, and of course Flash is crazy. When is SKT playing the final boss again?

I'm clearly unbiased cause I have an OZ tag ^^
To be honest, i wouldn't put my stock in Roo, even though he had a great 3 kill he still has to prove that he is consistently good before you should pin your hopes on him ; )
and that bisu + stork pic with revolutionist/supreme commander is sooooooooooo awesome. :D

Okay, roo, Action, Barracks, anyppi.
KT next generation ~
When Flash must finally retire due to his wrist problems, what a dark time KT will have. Four mediocre lineup players to lose them all.
Nah, KT can just buy an Ace player or promising young talent from other teams. Just like SKT.
You know, for the entirety of progaming's existence, the only time KT has won a championship was on the backs of completely home grown talent. I'd think an MBC fan would have some respect for that.

Forgg was from Oz.
In any case, my comment has less to do with KT than it does with richer teams having the ability to buy their way out of trouble.
Kinda made me wonder how many SKT "fans" would switch to being KT "fans" the moment Bisu would be bought by KT to replace Flash if he really does have to quit. I mean, Bisu isn't even all that loyal to SKT, he was the only one of the TBLS agreeing to join Hyungjoon's team. :D

ForGG was a pretty on and off player, but that's fair enough.
Though he didn't win in that finals. All 4 wins were from pure KT bred players.

Firstly, as much as I dislike seeing Flash dominate I'd dislike it even more if I couldn't watch a legend of the game at work.
Secondly, not that it'll ever happen, but should Bisu cross to the enemy, then I'd still remain a SKT fan. I'd just keep a close eye on the Bee-suit.
Regardless of the sporting code I've never understood how people can follow players rather than their teams. Maybe I'm just weird like that.
The best thing about this thread (and other similar threads) is that it shows the enduring excitement! I am really looking forward to the playoffs and judging by what's going on around here, so are many others.

Flash is the best player right now, and it will stay that way for a while, despite his wrist. Bisu still has plenty to prove, his ability to play a bo5 is still untested, and he has yet to beat S-Class (other than jaedong who was in a mini-slump).

What an odd statement! Bisu is the most highly decorated Protos player of all time. He has plenty of experience in preparing for and playing series. I also struggle to see how this is relevant because proleague doesn't feature any series between two players.

And Bisu years ago is not bisu now. It's like saying Boxer can play well in a Bo5 now because he is high decorated. Bisu has only proven himself in games where players prepare for the maps rather than the opponents/races. (and even then he struggles vs S-class)

I think what Milkis is trying to say is that Bisu just doesn't have that aura of dominance that he did when he won Starleagues. During those times, there wasn't even a hint of doubt about whether or not Bisu would win, especially starleagues. Nowadays, Bisu's PvT isn't as good as it should be for his level, and his PvP is usually a toss-up. There's no doubt that Bisu's performing well, it's just that there's some doubt when it comes to his PvT and PvP against Top players (like Stork and Flash).
Bisu just doesn't have what it takes to beat flash and stork. He is S-class but the lowest of the list. He is just performing well (to bisu fanboys) because how he DOMINATES zergs. He can be compared to Light in terms of vZ. We can all agree that Light isn't overall S-class right? Yet, he dominates anyone in a TvZ. Just like Bisu in a PvZ.

The major difference is that light is sub 50% vP by a lot. Who is better than bisu vT at this point? Stork yes, but that's it. Best, Jangbi, kal, and snow (the 4 guys who come to mind for me in PvT) All have been looking worse than bisu.
The list is a bit longer in PvP, but not that much. Stork, maybe Kal, and maybe horang2.
Bisu is S because unless the game is against Stork, Flash, or (maybe) Kal; Bisu is the favorite, hands down.
I wouldn't condemn Bisu's vP. His losses against Stork are due to BO loss and some stupid shuttle micro that surely can be fixed. His recent loss against Kal is BO loss too.
Against Zerg, even Jaedong is having trouble against him.
Here is the thing about XvT. Nobody will admit you are a top XvT player until you defeat Flash. Flash raised XvT to such a ridiculous standard that Bisu's PvT will be perceived as weak as long as he can't overcome Flash. But let's face it, other than perhaps Fantasy, Bisu's PvT can take on just about any other Terran in the world.

I didn't think he was actually good at the beginning of the season. You can get 12 game winning streaks on a fluke quite easily -- "consider Shine", or consider the rampage Movie right now. The difference even then is that they actually looked good, while Bisu looked shaky.
Again, if your only retort is that "but he won", then you clearly didn't watch the games or just didn't realize how lucky Bisu was in nearly all the games he won earlier on. I still don't think Bisu was "good" before Shine destroyed him -- it's only afterwards where I would consider him good.
I wouldn't say Bisu has substandard vP/vT. He has the highest PvP and the second highest PvT right now by ELO(and highest vZ just as an aside). He just needs to fix a few mistakes in his games(as he's said a few times). He said that he could have won all those games he had lost if he hadn't made a few mistakes which he is currently fixing. I'm pretty sure anyone can say that.
Except we know from experience that he can actually deliver? Why do you hate Bisu so much anyways? It seems like all the WMF fans on here make a point to hate on Bisu whenever possible.

Maybe it has something to do that the only player with a starlegue title on the team is coincidently the one player to beat Bisu in a final? Im not sure, but now that you mention it it seems that fox has a surprisingly high number of bisu anti-fans (along with KT, but that reason is obvious ). + Show Spoiler +
lol, I had to double check that to make sure I didn't make an ass of myself. I almost forgot about midas, but he has no wins.
Hey OP, nice job linking to this thread in the most recent SKT loss to Hite.
If KT beats SKT tomorrow night, KT will be in a leading position going into R5. Then if they can keep their PL lead against SKT, then KT will be in that same commanding position they were at the conclusion of 09-10. And we all remember what happened then, haha.
Bisu being inconsistent lately and with a Best that should be named "worst" I guess SKT should have their hopes on Fantasy. Oh wait he got totally outplayed by Movie a day ago. Doesnt look so well for SKT does it? Lets hope Hyuk can hyuk em' all!

I hope I won't get this much flak for making a similar STX thread for hype purposes. To be honest, I'd love KT, Hite and Oz threads to follow Stars, SKT and STX. Sure, most of the things will be fanboy babble by the end of the season, but till then, the fans appreciate such messages.

On a somewhat unrelated note, a notion inspired by the picture section in the OP....I found Bisu to be more energetic and charismatic back when he was on MBC and right after being transferred to SKT. Nowadays, you rarely see anything out of Bisu other than a shy smile, an empty stare or a half hearted fist pump.

Such a good quote from this thread to be on the front page. The player who really lacked was Kwanro. But maybe he was the inspiration for skt zergs to pull it together. Now SKT Terrans need to get to work and SKT will be too complete of a team for them to lose.

I wonder how difficult it is to prepare against SK, because they haven't played any team match in quite a while now. Not that it will make any difference...

Not a comment on his skill, but more his lack of clutch play. On HBR he didn't expect Violet, so he proxied. When his shit got scouted, he reacted horribly.
Canata's skills in other situations have taken him as far as beating Flash at TvT. But on the big stage he can't hold a candle to his teammates...

How wasn't his TvT against Frozen crucial ? STX was leading 3-2. That's the game let SKT go to the ace match that Fantasy eventually won. Same for his TvT against BByong.
Indeed his proxy rax against Violet was horrible, but overall he was still an important asset for the team.

To be fair though, sometimes Action sucks really, really bad. Worse than me perhaps. See: vs Brave on Aztec, CuteAngel on Fortress?, Canata on BR.
I'm glad people still remember this thread though. It is, after all, a year old. PS: Can someone post more Bisu for me to add to the OP?

Looks like Fantasy will have to find his own path in Starcraft. No longer can he be called Oov's puppet if Oov is in the army. Also, I was thinking of making the LR thread, but I need a theme for graphics. Anyone have a good idea?

I wouldn't say KT raped SKT, since it was 4-3 (Last year was rape for sure though). That being said, seeing KT win and the nerd tears of obnoxious SKT fans definitely made my night.
I don't hate SKT, their fans and don't want to put salt anywhere. What I really don't understand is why SKT fans not only the most biased ones were so sure they'll crush us? Now that the final is over: SKT lost despite their coach doing more than a miracle seeding his players in the best possible matches. So I'm thinking what could have gone better for them - S2 taking his game which is the more realistic scenario or Flash losing to Best? Which is still realistic though I won't count on it on maps that are fine for Terran and Flash is particularly good on them. The match was a final and Flash had the time to prepare also for the last map he needed to prepare for just two match ups TvP and TvT since SKT are not sending zerg against him on Circuit (not that there is a high chance of sending a zerg on Fortress).
Here is how I rate SKT main players coming to the final: Bisu - top form By.Sun - top form soO - performing well Fantasy - very strong in finals, poor recent results Best - weak performance S2 - poor results and lacking game sense
I'm not going to rate KTs players but I think Roo, Action and Hoejja had very good chances of taking anyone but Fantasy and CH had a chance to beat a zerg player.
I hope there are no more unpleasant surprises such as teams disbanded and if KT continues to evolve their players the same way there can be a third title who knows
I wonder what the TLers that haven't watched the vods yet think. "Why is that thread bumped? MAYBE SKT WON OHMAIGAWD I'M SPOILED BUT THAT'S OK WE WON LOLOLOL KT!!!!!", then he watched the vods later that day.

It's not out of relevance at all. It's completely relevant with what just happened. stop letting your skt1 fanboyism get in the way of your thinking :3
I honestly approved of this thread back then, and I approve of this thread now. What this thread did was to give fans hope, cheer them up after defeats, make them even happier after victories, and give them a sense of unison. That said, SKT fans along with many others went too far and deserve some of their obnoxiousness rubbed back in, but the gentlemanly thing to do would be to act courteously even if they don't deserve it, maybe they can learn something from the experience.
Or maybe not, but at least it would be the mature thing to do.

If you really think about it, some of these KT fans are only Flash supporters, but I know of at least a few KT fans that are team fans; TwoToneTerran and BLinD-RawR being foremost among them. He's just an example in the vein of the first type of KT fan. I'm sure there are SKT fans who are of the second type.

yea, this is sadly worse than sc2 forums. Miss the point completely, make up a statement I never said and try to offend me because of it. Well done.
Anyway I don't see why is it so bad to be fan of a certain player rather than fan of a team. I believe most of the teams originaly got their fanbase because of players who play for them, not the other way around.

I really wanted to see bisu vs flash, even though im more of a flash fan then bisu, hes winning too much even with his wrist injury, so imagine after he recovers 100% , each time bisu loses a game, he genuinely looked surprised he lost the game, woulda been great way to end the finals

PS - don't mind the KT tag ^^
Considering how SKT fans acted like they had it for the longest time, I think they deserve all the salt that gets sprinkled on their wounds.

i think KT went from being my second least favorite team to my third favorite just by virtue of raping SKT in finals, though im sad for dohjaewoook

good job on being obnoxious, skt fans (and specially bisu fans)

I'm not fighting anyone, I'm not even that disappointed by the final result because all my sc life I've been Bisu fan rather than a team fan. And Bisu shew incredibly great defense and multitasking in his game. I'm just amused by the number of KT fans coming here (even though many teams have thread like this) and bashing after their win. It reminds me of those insecure kids, who beat you in a sport/game and then have to talk about it and rub it in your face for hours because they know this may not happen again. We're confident enough to know we will make it to finals again next season. And we will win, no matter who we face. We don't need to hate.
well, the thing is that the majority of TL is composed of people with SKT tags but who are mostly only Bisu fans and has shown the most arrogance and bias throughout the years. the majority of the remaining TLers, though supportive of their own teams, thus come together when bashing SKT
PS. KT owned your team twice PSS. there was some interview before with kingdom and he said in his SKT times, it was Best who pioneered all the protoss strategies and build orders, whilst Bisu was only the one who carried them out, thus somewhat making Bisu to Best alike a puppet not unlike Fantasy to oov, and yes including PvZ.

saying bisu is best's puppet is a bit of an overstatement. let's not forget that the "revolutionary bisu build" was used when bisu was in MBC. if anything, bisu is coach park's puppet. best most likely tweaked the bisu build to incorporate the +1 speedlot timing against hydras, or any other variation, if what you say is true. your puppet analogy is weak in best's/bisu's case because while one player may have had influence over the other, both players have shown to execute similar strategies in broadcast games. this is different from fantasy's/oov's case, where one person plays while the other is observing from the bench. Best and bisu are teammates, so it's no wonder that their play styles feed off each other--I've noticed Bisu's PvP/PvT macro has improved since moving to SKT. As for best's PvZ, I haven't been paying much attention haha. all i know is that his PvZ is mediocre/borderline bad.

You call that being a true fan for your team while you only root for one player ? you disgust me .
He never called himself a true fan for a team?
yea, this is sadly worse than sc2 forums. Miss the point completely, make up a statement I never said and try to offend me because of it. Well done.
wow, i can't believe you're martyring, specially being you the only one doing assumptions about others in the first place. i guess this comes to prove that i was right when i called (most) bisu fanboys obnoxious...
Pretty sure every Flash hater jumped on Flash's ballz last time he dropped out of an individual league (both, for that matter). Maybe we should call them insecure children as well.

Trust me, we would get more shit thrown at us than Dane Cook does a day if the result happens the other way around. The KT fan base is still smaller comparing to SKT's. If you don't want to see your team bashed, don't surf TL for at least a week after the final.

Yeah, he got more shit and flame than the whole collective team of SKT of today back when it happened.

I was about to say something like this when I read his post, but nice to see someone else doing so.
Bisu was definitely the innovator for Protoss during his MBC days.
Well, a Bisu fan gushing over his player + an abrasive KT fan is definitely NOT a good combination. If SKT wins STX Masters (as usual), then at least they have 2 team golds this cycle; strangely, both for WL format games.

I like that I'm now compared to TTT a lot these days.

Lol. pusan invented the " revolutionary bisu build". according to kingdom, best was the innovator for PvZ when bisu was in SKT.
Bisu gets all the credit for executing the builds to near perfection
