After reading the original Korean interview, in pretty sure jaedong meant to say even if he is to LOSE, he would still get a chance to advance having rematch within the group (with hydra and pure). Im pretty confident either fomos didn't get it right or jaedong said it wrong.

No there wouldn't. If they're both 2-1, Sea will advance as C1 and Jaedong as C2 because Sea won the head-to-head.

I'm guessing he means that he hopes Sea will advance because then they might meet in the Ro4? I think the bracket's stage is designed so that if both players from the same group win their Ro8 match, they play again in the Ro4....
This is how I read it.
I think he means he wants Sea to advance into the other bracket so they can play again at a later round (ro4 or finals).
