Great write up though lol Sir, do you mean to tell me that you do not take seriously Zed Research Inc.'s findings that STX Soul is a "Top 3 Recommended Pick"? If you are truly confident that your insight is deeper than this esteemed analyst, would you care to wager against the analyst's call that STX Soul would indeed finish 3rd or better?

Very funny and creative!
Thumbs up!
STX isn't gonna win shit this year. You hear that, C-sheep?

Not gonna lie, when I first started reading it I thought it was translated from some Starcraft business magazine of sorts. Then it sunk in, boy did you have me fooled! Well written, very professional and funny =P

I'm sorry sir, but statistics don't lie. If you read the detailed analysis provided it would also be clear to you why he is the ultimate team ace. By examining the most recent market data that is available (Proleague R5), one can easily see that Frozen is the best among team aces. The proportion of wins that he contributes to his team (36%) is higher than both Flash's (23%) and Jaedong's (35%), players traditionally looked upon as team aces, and Frozen's win rate in proleague (83%) is also greater than Flash's (46%) and Jaedong's (75%).
Well, if Frozean contributed to a bigger share of the wins, it's just because his clanmates sucked. But it's not because his clanmates are bad that it makes him good. Kal would still rape any non S-class zerg, and Calm seems to have ended his losing streak. And I don't focus too much on statistics, because that would mean Frozean > Flash. No way. Seriously, even if Flash has had a bad streak in ace matches, he would still be a better ace player than Frozean.
I apologize if "fucking disgrace" sounded offensive, I didn't mean to be offensive since I enjoyed your article, but Frozean is still an awful player imo. He just did quite well during the last round, exactly at the moment where the two other STX aces sucked hard. It's exactly like saying that while Bisu was slumping and SKT zergs did quite well, SKT zergs would be the spearhead that leads SKT to win the the proleague. SKT zergs are still awful, as we just witnessed during the playoffs against CJ.

When did my beloved team turn into a joke T_T
It's cool though, I still believe~

You are missing the point of this thread. Notice the SKT icon behind thread starter.

I thought about it, because nobody "should" be stupid enough to blindly follow statistics, but I also remember there were some real Frozean fans, and guessed he might be one of them. Frozean is known for sucking but making big upsets (he's 4-2 vs Bisu and 2-1 vs JD :'( )
Anyway, the point of writing the "why xyz will win the proleague" is to show why you are truely believing in a team and his players, not to mock them. And that's why these articles are so interesting, because when a dedicated fan provides great arguments why his favorite team actually has a good chance to win, he can even convince the anti-fans that the team has a decent shot. (Indeed this article has been written by a SKT fan )
Edit :

Yes I saw it. But you can love two teams and be able to put only one icon. I am also a huge fan of Samsung Khan even if my icon says SKT. And from what I read the previous years, I insist that the point of "why this team will win the proleague" is to provide real arguments, in order to increase the hype, not to make fun of the team.
Re-edit : Ok, I admit that the Kal paragraph was explicit enough to see it was a joke, but I'm still looking forward to seeing a real STX fan to write an article, otherwise this is gonna be the most under hyped semi finals ever

Great article and wonderfully detailed analysis. I was an anti-fan but this has truly convinced me that this team has a decent shot!
I would also like to register my interest in hiring ZRI for a similar article focused on KT.

In all seriousness, that was very well written, good job.

The best hype thread this round, admittedly. And of course it was written by a T1 fan.

Good thread but with their recent result. Unless its BO-1(cuteangel ftw), they can't win.
