Obviously there are cultural differences here. To english speaking people, being called cheap is a minor insult. It's seriously a really bad thing to be called in korea though... it's grounds for starting a fight etc.

Funny story

I understand that it might be a bigger insult in Korea than in Western Countries but why couldn't he wait till his next winner interview to explain it and went all the way to bring witnesses

And to be honest I would be also insulted if someone called me cheap even though I'm from Europe. I just hate cheap people...
