First of all, nobody ever discredited importance of BO5. But it seems that some people thinks it's more important factor than everything else combined. Which is bullshit. The game is called Starcraft and not Who's the best in BO5 for a reason, get it through your head already people.
I choosed the recent history as a reaction to others who were so eager to include JD win in last MSL. Maybe you would like to pretend nothing else happened, but it did. And A LOT. You wanna go for a shorter time interval? What about this season?
I'm well aware about their first BO5 meeting...you really believe that has some importance now? I also didn't mention how Flash won two BO3 right after, kicking JD from OSL and GOM.
I also don't know what's your problem with my point about the WL and PL finals. Do you want to elaborate? I though the fact that KTFlash won it and JaedongOz wasn't even in playoffs is well known already.
For the last time, so nobody would hopefully miss it - JD is far more accomplished player and he was definitely better than Flash in the past, nobody is denying that. But last couple of months Flash outplayed him in everything except BO5 (yet). It's enough to call him better player, BO5 results regardless.
It seems that JDs fans are just kicking around trying to dismiss everythig Flash did to keep their beloved player at the top.
And this is not damage control, more like reactions from fan who has enough of the biased nonsence. I've been reading TL for like three years and I've never felt like I should defend player like I should defend Flash now...and I've been his fan since his OSL/GOM run. He simply didn't have the skills/results to compete with JD in the past and I acknowledged that. But know he has and the fact that so many people are stupidly trying to downplay everything he did is something I can't ignore.
