once you've gotten as many girls as the emperor you'll realize hooking up with random girls all the time just isn't fun

Can someone please explain WHY everyone seems to think Savior was rigging games? I don't see the evidence mentioned anywhere in this thread.

Well Savior cried after the loss to Bogus, which apparently is one of the matches with the most evidence of corruption. Probably guilt and embarrassment that comes with losing to Bogus. Sadly I think FBH may be in it too... He was doing great for so long, and then BOOM sucks ... =( That or KESPA new rules on dancing took away his will to win. FBH always sucked. It's just that every once in a while he will beat someone good. Like Savior... Or he'll beat Jaedong with Battlecruisers... Or he'll somehow overcome huuuuge odds to beat Bisu in the RO36 in the MSL and then a week later Bisu will make him look fucking awful and beat him with scouts... Shit. Maybe the whole idea that FBH is even mildly competent is an illusion created by cheating players losing to him . Maybe FBH is a kid with mental problems that spasms after games sometimes and we just think he's dancing but really he is a player Kespa sends out to play really badly and anyone who loses to him is branded suspicious. Maybe Stork is totally clean but lost to FBH once out of a million practice games. :'(
Okay, back to being serious: What if FBH was suspicious about Jaedong throwing games and did that battlecruiser build just to fuck with him? Also, I remember one game where FBH played terribly - he was on two bases to the zergs 3 or more, and the zerg wiped out his nat and most of his main and somehow lost... Before that game I was kind of getting worried that comebacks couldn't happen in SC but now I am worried about that again...

Looking at the list again, I'm starting to get a bit sceptical. The list seems to include everyone who recently has one or two unexpected losses in their games. It somehow feels quite unauthentic anyway, nobody knows who the person who "leaked" the information is. In a way, if Flash had lost one or two more games, it seems like he'll be in the suspect list as well.
This speculation is getting a bit too much, and seriously, now that they are investigating into the matter, there's such a small chance that people will continue match-fixing, so I don't understand people who are saying they won't watch anymore since this is really the time when you know people are trying their best.

There are a bunch of unconfirmed rumors going on and the majority of them are pointing toward Savior.
Face it, even if this is not true, a lie that's repeated a hundred times will become the truth. Savior's legacy is as good as gone.

Good catch. There's a good chance that match was, indeed, rigged, not because PJ sucks, but because Savior had every reason to drop the game there. First, he was clearly the favorite. Second, it was WCG, so a lot of big betting was likely going on. Third, he was no longer bonjwa anyways so why not make the most of it? All of this added to the fact that he played relatively poorly in those games is enough to really raise suspicions.
Now the game with Bisu when he lost bonjwa status, I'm not so sure. But it's also possible because Bisu wasn't a huge name then. Hell defeating Savior practically made Bisu's career, so there was definite incentive.
This scandal completely taints everything about Savior except for, maybe, his initial rise to bonjwa status, but then again who knows? Korean SC gaming - it's just hard to view it the same way after this.

I'd like to know if we could somehow mesure all this things through liquibet history. Every single statistical upset could be tracked down and the game reviewed. No ? That way we could even make our own investigation and validate it's results through Korean news statements. Witch hunting is fun too.

Im wondering who would be crazy enough to sponsor a future Starleague. It was already hard for the MSL before this scandal but now... Even if the players who dropped game are life banned, and everything seems to be back to normal, no sponsor means = no starleague. At least I'm glad the Emperor didn't throw game even when he was not a bonjwa anymore.

I really don't know what to think about all this
I don't at all understand how people can still want to support sAviOr after this Keep in mind, it's not 100% for sure at all that he's involved (not yet anyways) But people are blatantly saying they still support him even if he's involved in this shit.
sAviOr was my first favourite progamer. He's what got me into pro gaming. After hearing about this crap, I am really turned away from pro gaming... At least SC1 pro gaming. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth It makes me wonder just how many games he's thrown And whether or not he actually has the skill to be at the top anymore It doesn't matter anymore, though.
I just hope SC2 doesn't get corrupt like this.

Boxer is getting married, and his wife already has a child! Can you imagine Boxer being your step-father, I'm jealous. Times like these I wish I was a little Korean girl. + Show Spoiler + Anyway, I think this a whole lot of drama over nothing. If players are accused of rigging games, let the authorities sort it out before we jump to conclusions. I haven't seen anything totally damning yet.

Can someone please explain WHY everyone seems to think Savior was rigging games? I don't see the evidence mentioned anywhere in this thread. The fact that this is an ongoing investigation means that it's very unlikely for any real evidence to get out. Even if there were "real" evidence, a lot of it would be word of mouth. Not like the first thing anyone's going to think of when they get documents on their hands is to scan bank statements and post them on a foreign Starcraft fansite. At the same time, sites like Fomos don't post this sort of thing lightly, especially given how much backlash it might create. If Savior has showed up there, they're convinced of his guilt to some degree of certainty.

I don't think Boxer would chose to get married just to cover this up, I'm sure he'd realise he wouldn't really be able to cover this up. Even if the president of Korea got separated and married an ukrainian hammer thrower, I don't think it would be of much help.
GZ to Boxer though.

hey colour me stupid here but maybe some of the people who've been inexplicably losing recently are a lil shocked and devastated by the incident themselves and its affecting their game??
i mean
just sit me right back down if that sounds entirely unreasonable

Not at all a waste of time. Don't let a few progamers that threw a game, over the course of a couple years, ruin your enjoyment of StarCraft. We still have great games and get to watch as players rise and fall and strategies develop.
By the way this news (basically TL thread, which they link to) got front page at Kotaku
