You also can't deny that TL has benefitted from Baezzi because people like me and Arsenalgunner wouldn't even be on TL without Baezzi's work. Now if he had stolen the account and never uploaded a single VOD, then yes, he should be crucified. However, he put the account to good use and the SC community and TL have ultimately benefitted from his work and more. It's kind of like you have $1 million to donate to Unicef, but a thief steals your $1 million. The thief then invests your $1 million and makes $1 billion, and then the thief decides to donate all $1 billion to Unicef. Yeah, you can't condone the thief for stealing your money, but in a circular way, the thief paid back your $1 million to Unicef, plus $999 million more to Unicef.
I never once denied his contribution towards the foreign SC community, and I made an effort to mention that in every post I made in this thread.
You are mistaking TL and the foreign SC community. Baezzi hurt TL, and he has never made it up to TL. TL did not benefit directly from his uploads (in fact, TL is still using nevake's uploads), and his actions were purely malicious and hostile towards this website. The few who stumbled upon TL serendipitously through his videos do not justify his initial actions.
Besides, the nevake channel was uploading videos in a very speedy and consistent manner in the prior months (often faster than jon747 channel). With or without baezzi, you would have found TL regardless.
Also, your example is largely inaccurate. It was as if TL had $1 million (the director account), and wanted to invest it (uploading videos and linking them to TLPD). But then Baezzi came along and stole the money (the account) and the opportunity for TL to invest (banned TL access), and invested it himself.

It was the large library of Pro League videos posted on Jon747 and Nevake that peeked my interest in Starcraft again. Like Arsenalgunner, it's questionable whether I would have found TL without the Jon747 account (although Nevake had alot of videos but was incomplete - some vidoes are missing from Nevake).
The comprehensive library of Pro League VODs on YouTube, especially the Jon747 channel which is the most comprehensive channel for Pro League VODs, was a conduit for people like me and Arsenalgunner (and probably others) in finding TL.
Anyways, if the Nevake channel can get the uploads in a timely manner, it will replace the Jon747 channel over time. I'm hoping that the Nevake channel can pick up where Jon747 left off - or the Starcraft community as a whole will suffer.

I hate to contribute to all this crap, but just as a point of clarification.. Baezzi never "cut off TL" from all the VODs or anything like that.

So he couldn't cut off VODs unless he went through and manually (the youtube API wasn't out at the time so he couldn't script it) changed the settings on hundreds of videos.
Yes, it was something that Baezzi threatened to do but it was an idle threat that has been blown out of proportion... as has all of this stupid stuff.

This is simply not true Moletrap. He did block embedding for all his uploads just so TLPD and the Small Vod Thread would break. He openly said so himself. He posted pretty childish flame videos on his front page saying exactly that and flaming TL and individual TL members.

Sure, at one point he stopped blocking embedding and took down his hate videos so a random VOD from a year back will most likely work.
And StarcraftMan you still don't seem to understand what the problem is. Baezzi has consistently shown that he is unreliable and unstable which is the sole reason we will not work with him. Period.

Mention teamliquid anywhere on his channel, whether it be in VODs or on his profile page and he'll ban you (contents of your post don't matter). Try for yourself.
Dude banned me from his channel for saying kwanro was an all-in newbie (1+ year ago against stork). He doesn't care if it's justified or not. If he doesn't like what you have to say (or rather what he interprets that it is you have to say), he'll ban rather than try and make sense of it.

But he stole a directors account and gave nothing back to TL.net. He deliberately stopped them from accessing their own account and had a massive tantrum.

The guy's a retard. Sure he uploaded alot and got some ppl interested in sc but if tl had kept the account someone else would have uploaded, as zatic has anyway on nevake.
edit: oh yeah and about the random banning - he banned me because i posted 5 weeks ago:

I assume he thought i was criticising him because he recognised the word speedy and msl/osl. I also noticed he gets ppl without youtube dp's confused in arguments he has on his comments page =p

Lol TL didn't find a flaw with him (although it certainly could), he simply had an argument, left TL, took the account with him and blocked TL from accessing it. Obviously they wouldn't have given it to him in the first place if they knew he was psycho, and as such will not work with him again.
