STX vs Hwaseung Set 3 Winner (Z)Calm:
"The concept of this game was 'Zergling Run'"

- How do you feel about winning both games in the first week?
▲ I'm happy that my team and I both have two wins. Next week we have matches against the lower ranked teams, so I think it will go well.

- You played in a 0-2 situation.
▲ I thought that if I won, (T)Hwasin hyung would win, and I was confident in the ace match. I thought I just had to win.

- How as the game?
▲ I wanted to go into late game without a fight, but I he had an opening, so I attacked.

- You made a lot of Zerglings
▲ Today's concept was "Zergling Run". Zerglings are very good on that map and they are cheap.

- How is your team's condition?
▲ The whole team seems to have caught the cold. I hope everyone controls their conditions well.

- People say 50 wins in a season is very difficult
▲ I also think it's a very difficult achievement. I think it's going to be hard unless I do unbelievably well during Winner's League.

- Do you have anything you want to say?
▲ (P)Trap, (P)Kal, (P)Shuttle, (P)SoO, (P)Violet, and (P)Tempest helped me practice.

+ Show Spoiler [Original Article] +

STX vs Hwaseung Set 4 Winner (T)Hwasin:
"I'm disappointed I couldn't show the play I prepared"

- How do you feel about winning your first match?
▲ I'm happy that I'm off to a good start.

- Your opponent went all-in.
▲ I practiced a lot and I wanted to play a good game, but my opponent all-in rushed me, and I won after blocking the attack. Although I'm happy that I won, I'm a little disappointed.

- Did you think you were going to lose? If you had to rate your defense?
▲ It was very dangerous. I think Zerg's all-in rushes are very scary. If I had to rate my defense.. 51 points? Since I blocked it, it has to be at least 50 points. I wanted to completely destroy my opponent, but I'm disappointed that I couldn't do that.

- (T)FrOzean joined the team
▲ We're the same age, and we can share our strategies. I'm not worried about the position as Terran Ace, because it was always difficult to be the Terran Ace on the team, even before he joined. There's more to gain than lose.

- Your team is going against WeMade and Air Force ACE next week
▲ I don't think they're easy opponents. Both teams have become a lot stronger since last season. We shouldn't let our guards down.

- You modeled for a shopping mall
▲ I tried it as a new experience, and I didn't lose practice time. It was fun.

- Your goals?
▲ I don't have one yet. I'll try my best in every game.

+ Show Spoiler [Original Article] +

STX vs Hwaseung Set 5 Winner (Z)Modesty:
"I'm confident in ZvZ"

- How do you feel about leading your team to victory
▲ I didn't want it to get to the Ace match. I wanted to win before that, but I'm happy we won.

- Were you chosen to be the Ace match player beforehand?
▲ I prepared thinking I would play against (Z)Jaedong.

- The game was very close
▲ My opponent had more speed Zerglings than I thought. I was losing and had to place sunkens, and I knew I could only win with Mutalisk-Scourge attack. I concentrated on Mutalisk control, and I think my opponent made a mistake because he was nervous.

- How did you feel when you found out your opponent wasn't going to be Jaedong?
▲ I couldn't let my guard down because I heard (Z)Killer was doing very well recently. I lost to Jaedong twice before, and I wanted to get my revenge, but I'm satisfied with winning today.

- Your team's Zerg line is strong
▲ I'm confident in ZvZ, but (Z)Calm and (Z)hero hyung also have ZvZ win streaks. I want to improve my ZvT and ZvP and my overall skill.

+ Show Spoiler [Original Article] +

Calm said he was confident that they would win the ace match...
I wonder if JD played if Modesty would of still won

It was really actually bad decision by OZ.

"Lets not send out Jaedong, so we can ruin their snipe plans" This is a nice tactic, as long as the other player is not the same race as Jaedong. Clearly STX have practise vZ for an ace match.

I don't understand either team's ace decision. Killer would've been practicing vs zerg too, since calm is STX's ace, so it was the same matchup that would've been played, just with two clearly inferior players.

Oh well. Thanks for the translations.

It's not the first time STX has tried to match Modesty against Jaedong, they obviously feel confident in his ability to win ZvZ.

Haha, reminds me of last time where JD lost 4 drones early on to Modesty's lings and somehow won like 30 seconds later. "I lost 4 drones so I thought I was at a bit of a disadvantage..."

Thanks for the translations, this is what, 10+ interviews you've done today? <3

the problem is that he clearly still has a lot of nerves on TV. His skill level is not nearly as impressive as hero or Calm in ZvZ, at least on TV.

Is it me or are the STX zergs a bit too overconfident?

Calm says:
- You played in a 0-2 situation.
▲ I thought that if I won, (T)Hwasin hyung would win, and I was confident in the ace match. I thought I just had to win.

Which is not that bad since Calm is an amazing player and can possible take a game from Jaedong, but then...

you have Modesty who wants to "snipe" JD with a 1-4 loss record against him lol.

And Modesty looks like a creeper with long thick hair =/

I have a feeling that if EVERY team out there prepare some no-name player from their team to practice HARDCORE against Zerg or to snipe Jaedong, OZ might be in deep trouble.

As in... (T)Leta v. (P)Surprise! Movie...

See, the only team baller enough to pull that off is CJ.

except that leta is not even close to the level of JD.

a better example especially if you wanted to use CJ would of been Skyhigh sniping Jaedong on destination in winner's league.

Huh, Calm was practicing with Violet and Tempest? So STX, last round's strongest team, and KT, last round's second strongest team, are now practicing together?

That may explain what KT's referring to when, in their interviews, they're talking about a new practice system. I'm sure having a team with as much depth as STX to practice with would be great (Plus Kal and Flash are best buds).
Remember Violet.
