Yea but he might need money to bribe that server maintenance guy who'll sneak in the boxes.
The official cost might very well be $400/month -- but in eastern europe that's slang for 'unless you show some appreciation to that "certain" guy'.

I can't guarantee it will actually go towards server costs or anything like that (in fact, most of it will probably go to cookies, bacon, and a new research institute which will have only 1 purpose: to find out the recipie for baconcookies). Please, give me money. hahahaha, epic win post right here x]
i'm not really worried bout the servers. they'll be fine, just give the iccup admins time.

That post is from the 6th dude. And we aren't using that server anymore. We got a new box.

LOL dude, you just read the link that some admin posted which is 100% wrong. That has nothing to do with whats going on right now. That was like 2 weeks ago, and they already got the RAM fixed and put on the right server. If you read UNKS blog about the end of iccup, then you will know whats going on. Not his 2 week old blog about RAM.
Heres the link. http://www.iccup.com/iccup/content/blogs/end_of_iccup.html

Domain name system aka. DNS update can take a while but there are ways to work past that such as editing your hosts file

I'll post the IP when I get it, so you can just connect to that until the DNS entries propagate.

so what you guys think, is it gonna be up today?

probably not, but at least there is a future behind it rather than uncertainty

Okay so ICCUP is down for the moment, what do you guys do to improve while this is going on? Right now I'm focusing on learning builds for a MOTW so that I can improve my ability to play new maps (C- but that was mostly playing Python T_T) so I'm spamming single player for the TvP build order I've developed on HBR and watching VODs to figure out TvZ on the map (there seems to be several playstyles that pros are attempting.) Any thoughts or advice?
|
yeah, go on irc, find someone to play on bnet or hamachi
