I would go with the RP-HT225s. The HTX7s, although they're nice headphones, are more street headphones. They sacrifice extra padding for a good look in the crowd. The other headphones may be plain in contrast, but they're bound to be more comfortable. No one needs to be flashy in their room playing StarCraft.

How do you mean "flashy"? Can you please tell me is those two cords on RP HT225 "joined" ?
Thanks.

flashy as in all fancy and exotic cool looking.
do you really need expensive headphones to play sc? haha.
i can understand if players need nicer headphones for CS because you can actually hear which direction the enemies are coming from, but dont really see the point of using pro headphones for SC. all the progamers just use some cheapo earphones o.o

oh and the black RP HY225 have 2 cords from each cup that join together somewhere further down lol, like a V shape.

I really want to buy one of those two... OK, so there are 2 cords that join up, can you please tell me how is construction of the headphones itself? Are they joining nicely and frimly on head? What about top part? Is it mate out of pure plastic or there is some sponge of some sort?
Thanks.

Hey people I need quick response about these black Panasonic RP HT 225 Headphones :
Can I be sure they will cover most of parts of my ears? That's my primary goal with headphones after all...
What I am asking is: Are the earshells big enough?
Thanks, please respond quick as you can because I would really like to make decision on wich from two to buy.

Yeah, don't spend that much money for SC dude, it's not gonna help. You can hear the SCVs build in higher quality, whoo, it doesn't make much difference.
Get some decent earbuds or a pair of cheaper Sennheisers (like 60-80 bucks)

Maybe have a look at the Shure SRH240. They're supposed to be quite good closed headphones for the price and Shure is a really good brand.
Edit: Not sure why I assumed you wanted closed ones. Oh well.

Uh so, are you looking to experience the deep bass sounds of the terrans main theme with sealed chamber headphones? In exchange for a distorted overminds speech due to its special frecuency?. Or would you rather be more sensible to the high pitched screams of aldaris telling you aint got no pylons with your open headphones? in exchange for your neighbours knowing how much of a newbie you are? Maybe youre looking for a Supra-aural style so their weight doesnt get in the way of your apm? Or some cheap earbuds at the risk of losing your ear from the upcoming hours of tenacious play? But to be honest, the headphones pick the player, not the other way around.

Please, I want opinion on those two headphones and don't too much deviate should I or not spend "too much money" on Starcraft. Really, please answer my questions, thanks

lol @ thread title and the forum this is located in.

Any more suggestions? I would really like to be sure that these HT225 cover my ears... or maybe I should just o safe and go with Sennheiser HD 201 or PANASONIC RP-HTX7 ?
|
These are kind if in the "budget" line of headphones... if you watch the old videos of NoNy playing Courage, etc, you'll see that they're all wearing Sennheiser HD555s. Still, if you watch -even pro-gamers, you'll notice that most of them are wearing generic in-ears with some kind of air traffic controller noise-blocker. If you're only going to use these headphones for StarCraft, sure, but for music, I would recommend spending more.

I need it only for Starcraft, but main problem is that I don't know wich of them to chose.
What would be yours choice if you were using it for Starcraft only and your premise would be that it covers your ears and that they are comfy?

Anyone knows are RP HT 225 resizeable by the sides (so I can configure them for my head) and can you please tell me how large are "shells" of headphones? Enough to fully cover most of the ears?

Well, I know this isn't an opinion on the two you listed, but I have been *VERY* happy with my Icemat Siberia (Steelseries Siberia nowadays?) headset.

Nevermind guys, I'm going for Panasonic RP HT 225. You can close the topic, thanks!
