What was the original reason they didn't stay with Magic Ns? Did the sponsor change or something? Magic Ns' was so good, probably the best team name in the league other than MBC Hero.
There's so many problems with each name:
1) KT Alpha Boom
Reminds me of childish boys pretending to be men throwing out words like alpha and explosions. Not to mention you keep the Boom which keeps the former attrocity Finger Boom in your mind that much longer for a name that is completely generic with no real meaning as if you just strung two random words together that add even less value together then they would apart.
2) KT Rolster
Probably the best name just for the fact that it doesn't mean anything, making this name on par with a teamname like Hwaseung to foreign ears/eyes. With the explanation of it meaning roller coaster shorthand suddenly it creates all these negative images for the team. At any moment our team could be on top or it could slump. Our player's careers are like roller coasters where your favorite player could play like shit tomorrow and break your heart.
3) KT V Chef
It's not like you have Midas on your team. You don't even have upmagic heating things up doing fire ceremonies, or July to eat all your food. With Flash eating helps though so maybe. I'd place this one at number two if Chef has some korean meaning of destroying one's opponent, but if that's the case you might as well go all out and call yourselfs KT Bus Drivers. The fact that you use Chef reminds every American of South Park, which reminds everyone of Finger Bang, which reminds them all of Finger Boom.

Alpha Boom: Hardly better than Finger Boom.
Rolster: I'd be fine with this, because I could just pretend it didn't mean anything. (This is my approach with CJ "Entus".)
V-Chef: Well, at least I would get a chuckle out of it whenever I read it in an LR thread. But why does it make me think of the Gourmet Race in Kirby?

so are all the other teams ktf owned (like the basketball team KTF MagicWings) also getting new names (olleh KT Air Ballers, since the Air was part of the name of the famous bbplayer and the game is played with a ball?)
