Merry Christmas everyone!
Ok, I've officially been in Korea for 4 days now. So far, I am absolutely loving it. The food is great, I'm getting more comfortable with my casting, IEG is very accommodating, and most importantly I am having fun! The first day of casting was pretty rough, but I felt like the next 2 days were a big improvement over it. I am nowhere near satisfied with my casting level, so to counter that I have started to write down notes about pretty much every game I cast and the players involved. In addition to that, I'm going to meet up with DoA sometime soon and I hope to gain a lot of insight from (and to hang out with foreigners in Korea, yay!) During my "weekend" (wed/thurs/fri) I plan to go to a PC bang and practice lots of Starcraft 2 with my off races in addition to learning more Korean.
I've also taken a few pictures of the spotv HQ among other things for you guys to check out. Enjoy!

As much bitching as everyone has done about you guys casting proleague (mostly initiated by Incontrol), I personally enjoy your casts. They are miles better than Doa / Moletrap already imo. I wouldn't recommend changing your own casting to be more like Doas, just continue taking notes, watching sc2, and enjoying the game.
I think something a lot of people like are statistics, so if you keep those handy itll be nice.

Oh, so it was you guys casting lol. As nmetasch mentioned, just cast normally but statistics are always nice to have. Also, player information introducing the player, their background, etc... is good for those of us who don't have extensive BW knowledge. I think your casting is fine and there's nothing wrong with how you guys are casting. My friend watched proleague for the first time yesterday and he had no complaints that I know of about the casting and neither do I lol. Thanks for the blogs and enjoy Korea and casting!

I think you're doing a pretty good job, actually. You're already "good enough" to me, and any improvement in your casting is going to be great. So ignore most of the rampant criticism you're getting. SNM is, unfortunately, absolutely atrocious. He may be your friend... but while people are thinking of the two of you as a casting duo you're not going to get many compliments.
So don't let that get you down! I hope you have a fantastic time in Korea.

Cool stuff! That hotel room looks not like a hotel room, but at least you get super fast internet in Korea. That Japan screencap... I wonder what the caption says.
I like the english casting. The analysis really helps.
