No Foreigners should have any proclivity to being so easily able to influence this country. If we were to amend and repel this pre-requisite then anyone who comes here as an illegal immigrant or otherwise yet a naturalized citizen and gives birth; their son or daughter can lawfully become the President. When you have people so willing to blow themselves up against America, it is not too far fetched for them to home grow a Manchurian Candidate. What other way to best destroy America than from the inside? In fact, that is the only way America will fail and is failing. I think having the most safe guards to prevent this scenario is a wise and just law. I guess you will disagree in the end, but I defer to the wisdom of my Founding Fathers and their timeless forethought. | ||

More problems have surfaced 1. In was dated Feb 14, 1964 and had the designation Republic of Kenya. However that designation was not official until December 1964. 2. It’s number 44 O 47 is a bit coincidental with 44th President Obama 47th President 3. The name EF Lavender. Earth Friendly Lavender is a detergent 4. Mombasa did not become part of Kenya until 1963. It used to be part of Zanzibar 5. The Coast General Hospital is actually called the Coast Provincial General Hospital 6. There are unconfirmed statements that women who would give birth in 1961 would go to the “Lady Grigg Maternity Hospital” which was later rolled into the Coast Provincial General hospital. | ||

Truthfully, I think that the presidency should awarded based on ability, not popularity. But it's in the Constitution. The President MUST be a natural born citizen of the United States, must be at least 35 years old and must have been a permanent resident of the United States for at least 14 years. This is the basis behind the "Birther movement" which is possibly one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of. I can't believe Congressmen and even people like Lou Dobbs support this kind of "activism", even if they try to keep their statements subtle. | ||

That was a copy not the original. I had to furnish my birth certificate upon entering into the USCG, but yet the President of the US doesn't have to? No double standards there. Simply furnish the original and this whole arguement would be null and void. Then we can move on to the substantive issue of the 14th amendment and clarification of natural born citizen. To be quite honest, I'd expect and want this of any President that has such an auspicious background. It is the damn law, the supreme law of the land which no one is above and damn well, will be abided by. | ||
