Wikipedia says:
Independence from the United Kingdom
- Date December 12, 1963
- Republic declared December 12, 1964

Obama's birth date on the certificate is in 1961. The date of issuance on the birth certificate is in early 1964.

Have you seen his poll numbers these days? He wouldn't even carry California today, and they forcibly yanked someone out of the governorship to put his ass there 7 years ago.

After (as though it's over) the California budget mess, he'll be lucky not to get tarred and feathered and run out of the state. And that's only because California doesn't have a tradition of doing that.

People who are challenging Obama's natural born citizenry are going about this the wrong way. It doesn't matter where he was born. His father was a citizen of Britain at Obama's birth. Therefore, Obama is not a natural born citizen and is exempt from becoming the President. There has to be clarification from the SCOTUS with regards to the 14th amendment. It's pretty clear, natural born citizen is someone who was born from parents of American citizenry. In any case, it appears that the SCOTUS is abdicating its most important duty. Go figure.

Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

There's no "clarification" needed there. Born OR naturalized. It's the same for every citizenship case that ever was: if you were born on U.S. soil, you're a citizen. Why should Obama suddenly be an exception?

EDIT: ooooh, i see what you're saying. That makes it more complicated. just a sec

EDIT2: OK, your case still doesn't hold water, I think. Maybe if neither of his parents were citizens, you might have a case. But any court would say that since his mom was a citizen, that makes him a "natural-born" citizen.
