A Naturalized Citizen is a citizen who was born in America, however their parents either one or both were not either Natural Born citizens or Naturalized Citizens. Also, in order for an immigrant to become a Naturalized Citizen of the US, they must pass a test on the history of America and our Constitution and residing continuosly in America for 5 years. Most of them would fail fucking miserably. Beyond miserably in fact. I remember taking a citizenship test back in history 1301 just to see what we knew as a class.
I was one of like three people out of THIRTY FIVE that passed the thing. It was embarrassing and by your definition I'm "merely" a naturalized citizen because my mother is not a citizen of the United States.
It just enrages me when your entire post comes off as if only a Natural Born citizen has any clue about how the United States works. I personally find the law regarding that a president has to be Natural Born and it's definition to be insanely ludicrous and irrelevant.
That's not what I'm saying at all. I'm saying, per the law only a Natural born Citizen may become President. That is the only thing that matters, that is why we are a Republic, and why we have a Constitution that is the supreme law of the land. That is what makes this country so great.

If we were to amend and repel this pre-requisite then anyone who comes here as an illegal immigrant or otherwise yet a naturalized citizen and gives birth; their son or daughter can lawfully become the President. When you have people so willing to blow themselves up against America, it is not too far fetched for them to home grow a Manchurian Candidate. What other way to best destroy America than from the inside? In fact, that is the only way America will fail and is failing. I think having the most safe guards to prevent this scenario is a wise and just law.
