In my previous blog, I was stating how SF4 is taking over SC for me... and I must say it actually ended up taking over. Probably because of the fact that I actually get to play people in real life and we have a really good hyped up scene going on here and good variety of players rather than the whole Ryu/Sagat! lol
So anywho! I had the privilege to go to EVO 2009 after only playing the game for couple months.
It was one of the most exciting events Ive ever attended.. I got to meet and take pics with famous people (in the fighting game scene) only took pics with Mike Ross, Daigo, and Mike Ross's gf which is the chick from WCG, etc. But I had the honor to play the best player in Europe Ryan Hart which fucked me up pretty badly, talked to people like gootecks, Arturo Sanchez, Alex Valle, Ricky Ortiz, etc.
Out of 22 people that went from Utah, only 2 made it out of pool but then got knocked out early in the finals...
I myself of course lost to Ryan Hart which is an auto-loss and then came as close as 1 more win to make it out of pools, but oh well!
Daigo vs Afrolegends playing casuals of HD REMIX... Daigo was playing Guile.. so fucking sexy I swear to god!

EVO was awesome, from what I could see.
I was watching the Live Stream (which was down for a godawful time) and things were pretty kickass. Glad you had a good time :D

I was in vegas too hahahaha.
Sucks though cus I didn't know it was happening as I was there.
I ended up getting a txt msg from 2 friends asking if I was watching Evo.
It was around 1030 at night or something during the main event of SF4.
Also I just found out that it was at the Rio Casino.. Same casino my gf's parents were staying at.
That must explain all the asian people there lulz.

I don't even play fighting games but Evo was still amazing to watch. After that crazy final, I'm inclined to buy a PS3 and pick up street fighter 4
