I know exactly how you feel since i'm in a similar situation, although i've never been subject to violence. Talking and settings things right sounds like the correct thing to do, but i don't think thats ever gonna work. Just move on with your life and only remember your mom. I know thats what i'm gonna do.

Just don't let those things get to you. Thats the most import thing IMO. Its not like you're gonna live with him forever...
