Hi guys.
I usually know the subway in the Manhattan area pretty well, but today my friend is coming back to NY for a very short visit, and I haven't seen him for six years, so it is very important for me to see him!
He is residing in Brooklyn atm and doesn't know how to get to Manhattan.
I live in NJ so I usually take the bus to the city and get off at Port Authority.
Does anyone have the most accurate directions on how I can make my way through Brooklyn?
How long would it take from Port Authority area to Brooklyin via subway? And what line should I take?

Seriously, there are maps all over the internet and in multiple places in the stations, both outside and inside the actual station. You make it seem like Brooklyn is a small neighborhood or something, getting off at the first stop in Brooklyn and the last stop in a given line can be a 30 minute difference.

@raithed: i'm guessing you live in bergen county? haha.

I can read subway maps and understand them really well but I need to know a start station and end station. from there I can figure it out, I've probably been on the subway > 1000 times

your question is the equivalent to this:
I live in Brooklyn and I have a friend that lives in Bergen County. Can someone give me driving directions to reach him in Bergen County? If someone were to ask you that, is there any way that you can give him proper directions based solely on that he lives in Bergen County without further details on exactly where in Bergen he lives in?
u can always go to hopstop.com for directions. if you need further help, feel free to pm me as I have lived all over NYC my entire life and I know brooklyn very well, but as previous poster said, you will need his address or home train station to be able to determine the best route.
