So today out of all days, I was bored to death. I didn't have anything to do, played ICC for 2hrs and then I just felt so sad. So 4hrs ago, it hit me that I should draw manga like I used to do in 4th GRADE!! I was actually good back then, too bad I don't have pics to show you guys . Anyhow, so I started drawing something which turned to be really weird and I couldn't explain what the hell was I doing. I asked a friend of mine to find me a good pic I can start drawing. So he showed me this :
I decided to try and draw it, it took me 15-20 min, and I finally ended up with this:
It was pretty decent I guess, what do guys think? Either ways, I decided to try and improve so starting tomorrow, I am finding stuff to draw!
UPDATE:
I took the time to start learning the proper methods, and I tried several times until I finally did a decent one. Again I AM NOT BOASTING. I am trying to learn t.t! Here it is:

Drawing with pen and paper is a cool thing but I dont like it cause usually I spend a hole day on a drawing which eventually ends up in the bin because of my frustration

ESPORTS BOOM, finish your drawing before you post, cause even though im not trying to be mean, it looks really funny right now

jeez that kid's got one longass body.. O_o Meh, I'd recommend that you first make a light, quick sketch of how the drawing is going to be, trying to get it close to the original picture itself, and then start drawing.

I hope this isnt a joke topic
I've been drawing since I was 4 and I could say that I'm decent.
Try to work on the head first, I usually start with a sphere, then I add the chin as a triangle. I then add the center line for the face and the eye line, which is usually 1/2 of the height of the face. From there I can get the eyes, noes and mouth down. I then work on the hair which should curve around the top of the head (the curve). The person should be 6-7 heads tall, that is 6-7 head heights tall. For the body, i usually start with a inverted trapezoid with circles for joints and cylinders for arms. I know I'm describing this very vague. To get more info on this stuff, look up Mark Crilley on youtube. He does some pretty nice tutorials for new artists!

lol Drawing is difficult stuff, people always assume that people who can draw have crazy talent, but really they practice soo much. I draw sometimes and I'm not very good, but just practice and make sure you really put a lot of effort into the picture if you want it to look good

I think you need practice because even I could pull that one off lol

I think you need to examine this kind of drawings more carefully. When I say more carefully I mean VERY CAREFULLY - by body parts, eg eyes, noses, hair, etc. from a variety of sources. Once you have grasped the style you will be able to produce better just by mimicking.

I am not saying this is any good, i find it quite bad too ! It just ignited me to go forward and start to learn how to really draw manga! I am working hard and after quite a while I will show you guys some of the stuff I did ! Sorry if people got this the wrong way, I am not trying to show off anything, I just want recommendation and criticism ! Thanks for your insight guys.

you should not be proud of that drawing in any way

My advice if you are really intent on learning how to draw anime is to first learn how to draw life. Once you've gotten a grasp on basic proportions and anatomy you'll find that your anime drawings will have improved significantly.

i think what's really detracting from your manga drawings is your use of un-mangalike features:
1) Overstated Nose (you drew out the entire outline of the nose rather than using a few dashes to suggest its placement)
2) Flat Black eyes - Eyes are a huge part of what makes manga what it is. The fact that you draw such large black pupils lacking an iris and reflections makes it look un-mangaish.
3) Overstated mouth - rarely do you see manga artists color their character's lips, especially if it's a male character. Rather, they rely on shading, so as not to detract from their character's eyes.
4) Coloring - i can't really knock you on this one, cause you need to start somewhere. but flat, unlayered colors is a no-no. Try using colored pencils instead of markers or microsoft paint to give the colors more dynamism.
Also keep in mind that the front view of a face is one of the most difficult poses to draw - you must be symmetrical in the features, and anything off balance leads to unattractiveness (just as in real life). Try the 3/4 pose first, as it's more forgiving on novice artists (you can get away with being unsymmetrical).
Hope that helps

hey it reminds me of million dA accounts
Actually, practice more! Keep on doing it if you like it

Post above should spend more time on the chick's tits to be honest.
On topic: Yea, you need to look harder. Figure out which basic shapes of what you want to draw, and go from there. Start off with the big parts, such as a semi-circle for the head, the box for the chest, circle for joints and tubes for arms, as said above. Then add details progressively to the entire drawing - don't stick to one part where you fully detail it and then move onto the next, but instead, try to add a some basics to the details all around then further improve on them as you go along. When you want to correct mistakes, which you will be doing a lot, it really sucks having to erase 15 minutes of work.

Thanks to everyone for the comments! I will keep on working! I have worked on this yesterday:
