Today I decided to get some beers quite late and while walking back home three shady individuals were walking straight towards me instinctually I decided to cross the road. As expected I heard the inevitable 'give me you're money' Out of disbelief I chuckled and said no, they decided to challenge me further and I was considering my options ... one thing that got to me was the adrenaline I couldn't think straight and was only considering smashing the entire bag on their head, retrospectively I think that a bottle would be more threatening. Anyway I decided to tell them to fuck off, lol and ran away on the main road. The only reason I did this is because I have been involved in around dozen muggings when I was younger (live in London) and realize finally that they're opportunists ... the thing is I believe I know who one of the guys is he lives very close to the incident and is the same age, height, race etc..(wore a bandana) should I get revenge?

So some guys tried to mug you, you flamed them, ran away, and you think you know one of them. I don't think you should get revenge. For all you know (Assuming you may have been drunk), it could be a completely different person. Just brush it off, and go on with life.

Ok I realize I'm drunk now, but I wasn't then and I've had enough of chavs and I recognized that guy how convenient that he's roaming around that general area It is him and I'm 80% sure...the height the build... and I know he aspires to be some kind of gangster here's an illustration

I'm not sure you should've crossed the road. It shows fear and gives them more confidence to try something on you.
On the other hand, walking right into them can also be bad times. It's hard to say for sure which is better.

The problem with revenge is its tendency to return with all sorts of unforeseen repercussions. You will invariably pay if you try to pay him back. It's a different story though if you're an absolute baller like the Count of Monte Cristo. But since you're a real person, just chill.

If they were bold enough to start shit while crossing the road they obviously would have bumped into him on purpose or something or held him up with a knife if he kept going straight.

My brother studied jujitsu under a guy who had black belts in multiple martial art disciplines and was crazy good. Pretty much the guy was sick and he knew it. Well one day a mugger with a knife tried to rob this instructor and the instructor just put is hands in front of himself ninja style and said, "If you run away right now, I won't kill you".
The mugger ran away.
That's pretty pimp if you ask me.
EDIT: Also props to how you handled to situation. You didn't let yourself fall into being a victim. The truth is most muggers want to mug someone who is easily victimized and not someone who is firm. So good job.

learn krav maga then kick some ass.

I wonder how often counter-muggings happen. Like some guy pulls a knife on you and you in turn pull your gun out and demand whatever he has got as a form of punishment. Then give that money to charity of course.
