I just played a guy who was C-, i've won, checked the APM and he had 77. No joking. How on earth? I'm not C- yet, after playing sg like 50-60 games, and i used to reach C at the end of the season. How many games had this guy played? And more importantly, how is he winning enough??

I'm P, and D+ almost C-, and I only have 70~100 apm.

once i played without spam and i got 72 apm and i've beaten a 282 apm C+ with that, so what?

than sg s wrong with me, i've never seen anyone below 100 APM who was good enough to reach C-, or even keep the D+ rank. If ya ppl say it's usual than ok, i almost fell off the chair when i saw it.

Hmm, it seems that he played REALLY badly on this game, which means, its his absolute WORSE MU, when I use to suck at PVZ, i got 60 as my apm, but at i got better now.... BTW, next time, try to search for hidden expo :D it could help your gameplay a lot.

high APM can either mean lots of spam or fast hand, its not a weird thing to have a low APM but solid gameplay.

plus, 77 APM is throughout the whole game is average, if it was below 50 then i too will fall of my chair.

what his highest APM anyway?

Yes high apm can mean alot of spam so the important thing to look at is EAPM

even if his EAPM is 77 it is insanely low and only protoss could actually play with such low apm

its his game knowledge and routine. He probably plays for almost 5-6+ yrs. So he beats them with decision making and so on.
I think he won't go any further than c+/b- with 70apm because he can't stand a macro game vs same rank koreans.

So he's Protoss. And I thought this was going to be something somewhat unusual... That's like the average apm of the D+/C- Protoss players.

could be that not the actual person played the account, but perhaps a friend or so. I play on my friends account from time to time when i am there and he is already logged in.

Oh man, I was playing a Korean Terran last week who had over 300 APM at the D+ level, and he asked me my APM, so I told him honestly (around 170) and he's just like "WHAT? Do you play Protoss or something?"

He didn't believe I could get to D+ as Zerg with 170 APM.

It's possible for any race to ladder to C at least with ~77 APM. Imagine if Jaedong held himself down to that: he could probably still get to C+ anyway. This guy doesn't have to be as good as Jaedong anyway, but I'm just saying.
