Sadly it has come to an end. In 3 days I will be shipping off for Navy basic training and have no plans to get back into video games in the future.
It is something I will miss, considering I have been playing this game for going on 10 years now, and I have been reading/posting at tl.net for 5.
Some of you I will miss quite a bit, some not so much, although most of you have been great But I did want to say goodbye to the few people who I have picked up as friends over the years.
I just wanna thank TL for putting up with my rambling arguments, as I like to argue a bit too much it seems at times. Thank you for putting up with me in general, as the quality of my posts was in no way up to par with the majority of tl members.
And one big thanks to Manifesto, who unbanned me after rek gave me the boot. (twice I think). Even though I was in no way deserving of a second chance. I hope that over the years I have shown to be more of a plus to this website.
I wish you the best of luck man. It's my sincere hope that the Navy works out for you. You have plenty of good (and bad) times ahead of you. Be squared away, work hard, and do the right thing.
Remember to keep your head up and stay positive too. There will be a lot of gripers and complainers and naysayers, but don't let them keep you from achieving your goals, whatever they may be.
P.S. If you're able to quit Starcraft and TL I'll eat my dixie cup! If anything, while I was in the service, I needed Starcraft and TL (and beer) just to stay relaxed! Good luck!!
Stay safe, you're not going to any hostile environments right? If there were units in SC that could be used in water, we could make references to it...
in my experience, a true starcraft maniac can never really leave without coming back. You WILL return, even if it takes you years, even if you'll be a married man with children when you do. The community will still be here, even if not intact.
So I wish you best of luck in your life, be safe and cya in a couple of years!
