Maaaaaan; I bought this new Dell notebook to write my university papers on, and today after I had waited for two weeks, it arrived. Like the happy little nerd I am, I unwrap it and want to boot it up all excited...
Fans start....
Power LED is on....
Waiting for something to appear on screen....
Waiting....
Still waiting....
Blackness....
Now I contacted customer support, did some weird diagnostics and they're going to pick it up within the next week in order to repair it and send it back to me again. This means it will take at least two weeks until I'll get it back; which means that I can't start writing my uni papers as of now. Oh well, more time to lose games on ICCUP.
[/sadpanda] [/sadnerd]

Wait how can you play iccup but not write?
Is your comp good enough to run BW but not good enough for Office 2007?

Nah, I wanted to write in the libary so I don't have to copy everything in order to read/write about it at home on my desktop :<

Is your comp good enough to run BW but not good enough for Office 2007? if you sit in a comp we all know how addictive the iccup icon is!! and in notebooks your gaming perfomance is much worse unless u have a good usb mouse but still the keyboard is meh.

Hmm I'm majoring in English and I have to finish a paper on religiousness in Frederick Douglass' autobioraphy; I've written my thesis already, I just need to find out what other people wrote about it and take that into consideration -_-

dell *is* fairly high quality. yeah it's no toughbook but the notebooks they sell are quite good. of course, nothing's 100%, and this could happen. it's no different than my friend's macbook which had a similar issue

From what I can tell it appears to be pretty solid; although every component has a sticker with made in China on it, but I guess that's just the norm today :D
