I've been sifting through Boxer's biography, graciously translated, for material to use in my next article (fingers crossed for TLFE, so it's gonna be better than my last 3), when I stumbled across some wisdom I thought I should share for anyone without the time to read the whole thing.
Without getting too detailed, because I doubt anyone will really care, I'm going through the roughest period of my life at the moment (a breakup with a girlfriend of 3 years--my first--, my dad losing his company, my cat dying, school and deep emotional issues etc.), I figured that some background might help in understanding where this is coming from.
More to the point, I'm actually quite impressed by the depth of our Emperor. This might be some quote from somewhere else, but I sorta doubt it. Every other quote is dutifully cited, and he credits many other things for their kernels of wisdom he includes. If somebody knows if it isn't his, then I'll take the humiliation in stride. Anyways, check it:
"The plants inside a greenhouse quickly bloom beautiful flowers. The plants that grow up in the plains, exposed to the wind and the rain, may appear crude and unshapely, but they bloom flowers that have a tenacious survivability. Calm seas cannot raise an experienced sailor, but rough and difficult seas can make a competent sailor. I am exposed to the wind and the rain in the plains, and I am navigating through the rough and difficult seas.
The wind and the rain will stop someday. The rough and difficult seas will soon become calm. And afterwards, it is certain that the brilliant sun will rise. This is just one course of my life that I must overcome, through the wind and rain, and the storm."
And
"There are always winners and losers in games. But there are no winners in breakups. Mutually letting go of their hands, each side giving up on each other, perhaps that is why both become losers.
I became a loser after my third love. But I would rather be a loser than fear love. I am waiting for a new love."

if you want to write an FE you can just PM Plexa your article beforehand (with a title, and maybe a request for a cover image) and we can make it an FE.

I had a brief conversation with Mani about it. We'll see how it turns out.

isn't that whole bio ghost written?

Wow that is alot better then I thought that it would. That actually has meaning and isn't shallow. Lim Yo Hwan should take up writing inspirational quotes for a living after SC.
Hope you get through your tough time in your life man.

If Lim Yo Hwan wrote a book, I'd buy it, and advocate it's acceptance as not only a philosophy textbook, but war strategy as well.
Our Emperor is so deep o-o.

ahhh love the Emperor feel the Emperor LET THE EMPEROR FLOW THROUGH YOUR VEINS
/end rant

Lim Yohwan is not a dumb guy. I'm impressed.

For a guy who hated his studies he speaks so powerfully. I would say I am the same since right now i'm not interested in the things i'm learning about, (lolhigh school) but on the occasional times when I find a topic I like to write about, my words and ideas just flow. It's nice to know you can connect with a progamer .

No offense but I think more work/less personal theme/more grandeur (images and etc.)/some SC references are necessary for it to be eligible for a TL FE, judging from the ones I've seen. It does make a good blog though.

If feed back is what u want: - neither of the mentioned quotes is particularly inspiring or "deep" or for that matter original, the first one is ok, the second one is not actually wise and the third one is too much of a cliche.
Keep digging man, the emperor does have some great quotes.
Ave Boxer! <3 regardless
