Haha yeah I agree, and its overall just smack talking. Like an example is Lebron vs Kobe; whose better? Some people say one of them suck; in fact if you met them face to face you would probably worship them.

I called him a faggot, and but in the good sense of the way.
I'm not one of those "tight up" guys who always goes around insulting people for no reason, I don't know Greg, IdrA or w/e you want to call him, but I hold no anger/hatred towards him, and I didn't meant to "hurt" or "harm" him in any form when I called him a faggot.
I thought the thread was all in good fun, since the Broodsport thread was full of it, I saw this as a "continuation" of the same stupid mindless shit we all got into.
Sorry if My post just added more to the stupid flaming of people and whatnot.

I think many new kids on TL lack the maturity to accurately judge people from a psychological standpoint
Yes Idra acted BM, but that warrants no one any right to shit talk. That's just primitive, rude and really stupid.
I believe that Idra's comments after the games were an attempt to defend himself, mostly from his own crashed confidence. I'm sure that he's really hurt inside from not performing up to everyone's, especially HIS expectations.
I'm absolutely disgusted by the lack of sensitivity some people have displayed, just beating the guy while he's down. If you are an Idra fan, accept that he is emotional at times, and that his rudeness is ONLY A SELF-DEFENSE MECHANISM. If you are not, get an accurate view on the situation, and fucking leave it be, maybe he'll grow up emotionally someday and turn into a confident, resilient and mannered player, maybe he will not, but your trash talking about him is RETARDED.
You may express your disagreement with the fact that he can't accept his losses in the way of what is generally considered good sportsmanship, but be fucking civil about it. In all my time at TLnet, I've rarely witnessed such a moronic flamewar.

When normal people have internet anonymity + public soap box, they turn into mindless retards who say basically as much of whatever they want. Rekrul's thread is probably about as nice as it gets by comparison to some of the truly fucked up shit people do on the internet.
Case in point, about a year ago a girl with psychological problems killed herself after her online boyfriend or whatever it was spread rumors about her to everyone in school through myspace and dumped her. Turns out the "boyfriend" was the parents of one of her friends who she hadn't been talking to for some reason or other.
If people saying dumb shit like "faggot" bothers you, my response would have to be "get over it."

This kind of shit happens on the internet all the time, and TL.net seems to be pretty bad at it most of the time.
You can't really do much about it most of the time.

Also when I log onto THIS specific community, I expect a standard of forum etiquette - it is what I have gotten used to and what has kept me actively here for the past couple of years.
Granted, not everyone (myself included) is a really useful contributor to this site, but I do my best to respect forum etiquette. That's why I expect not to have to deal with random netizens calling me directly (or anyone else for that matter) things like 'faggot' 'fucking retard' . The moderation on this site is the basic ingredient in assuring that it's one of the most civil/mature places around (at least for a video-game based site)
It really pisses me off when I see large amounts of new faces act like garbage at the first sign of a flame instigating comment; I feel we, as a community, are losing quality.

I generally dislike posting. There's a lot more to communication than what can be typed and I find I'm often misinterpreted. For example people are incredibly quick to assume you're an idiot and often miss the sarcasm.
There shouldn't be a need to insult someone when arguing with them, but people just love to feel superior, knowing they're sitting safely at home far away from whoever they are targeting. You can't really change that, it's just how the majority of people are when they're on the internet.
Just don't take what people say so seriously, they'd be a lot more restrained if they had to talk in person.
