I talked to another guy there and he kept telling me I can get a prepaid Visa from like Wal-Mart in which I told him I don't have $490 dollars to put on a fucking prepaid card. He then suggested opening a checking account. So I explained again how that was impossible. So I said fuck it and told him to go through the audit if they wanted to go through the trouble to collect $1,470.61 from a 23yr old full time student and collect it from my paycheck. Which I asked if they could do which they kept giving me the runaround. So I guess I will go to court and have my fate left up to a judge.

Also I can't ask my grandmother, there is always the possibility that she would say no, but there would be immediate tension between her and my mother which is the last I need.

Also AFAIK TN state law states that it is illegal in regards to civil law for prison time if a person is in debt. This is CC debt, not alimony, or child-support.

You have to go through the falling down in order to learn to walk. It helps to know that you can survive it. That's an education in itself

Of course there's the possibility she'll say no. Don't know how this'd create tension between her and your mom, but it REALLY shouldn't matter too much if she says no seeing as you'd be in the same situation anyway.

Just ask her. No is no, yes is awesome. I haven't read the whole thread, but a) why not ask your mom, and b) she doesn't need to know that you ask your gramma unless she brings it up herself as an option.
