So wow, I'm pretty much pissed off. Let me tell you my story:
I'm playing on Terran, spawn at 1. Protoss (SCUM) spawns at 5.
Map is Andromeda.
So he comes into my base and decidse to gas rush me, like a typical protoss scum
BITCH! Every time a probe dies, I'm so happy 
Meanwhile this Protoss decides to be gay and proxy!
I go into his base. He's cutting probes. Has no goon, no range. Hmm..proxy?! Caught him in the act! Faggot Protoss!
Quickly build turrets! I scouted his build, this should be mine ez
BUT..............
WOW?!
GOOD GAME, SHIT HAPPENS. PROTOSS IS GAY!

So, the moral of this story is you died to DT despite scouting it, playing a noob all in player, and having a ramp with an expo behind it.

Yup, I build a second turret because I saw 2 gateways thus 2 dt's.
I think either way I would have lost after taking out that dt since he had 2 goons, but you never know......=.=;;

Playing protoss would be so much easier if I cheesed, I could probably make it all the way to D+. The entire reason that protoss players cheese terrans so often is that it is super easy and works often. Doesn't change the fact that it sucks though.

I think you are placing your blame in the wrong place.

It's part of the game for a reason though. 0 Scouting assumed, if the terran decides to skip an ebay/scanner/mines to prevent a DT rush, they are basically cheating the system to get a little further ahead in the game. And the T losing horribly to a DT rush is just starcrafts way of returning the favor.

I know I really shouldn't blame Protoss, but even before this game, I got dt rushed/cheesed 3 times in a row >.<
And the fact that my turret couldn't finish only made it worse, haha
