I'm just curious if the CPU savior thing that Blizzard put into patch 1.16 has caused any noticeable improvement for anyone in running SC, because I haven't been able to go on Bnet for a month now and it's really annoying.

I've been stuck on ICCUP, and since I don't play 1v1, it means I have to play 2v2 all the time, which is fine because I enjoy 2v2. However, I'd really like to go on bnet where I had a 25 person long active friend list and play 3v3...but I can't, because the patch is extremely laggy and unplayable for me.

I just find it somewhat unbelievable that Blizzard would implement a patch that would do this, and from what I hear, I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. It would be so simple to simply re-release the patch with the CPU Savior thing removed and fix the problem, which is why I was wondering if the savior even helped anyone in the first place.

it seems like you're not really sure as to what it does. It reduces CPU usage from 50% to 100% down to near 0%, much like the CPU savior plugin for chaoslauncher. It's weird how some people seem to have problems with the patch, while others (like me) have absolutely no problem with the patch, even with #LL on bnet (I haven't tried LAN UDP however).

i like that sc doesn't eat my computer when watching replays.
when I use my laptop with only battery this comes handy, the battery lasts longer.
i am waiting for 16.2 to fix all the stuff ~~
And all is illuminated.

The patch wouldn't have any noticeable effect on bnet...and that wasn't the reason why kespa didn't adopt it. It only causes problems on LAN, where there's supposed to be no lag in the first place. I imagine you'd have similar problems playing with LL on bnet, though I'm no expert.

You don't find the b.net screens feeling slow or laggy at all? That's another problem I've heard people have had...

It would be nice if they gave me the option to "save CPU power" or whatever when the game starts off so I could turn it off. Even with the Chaos launcher CPU Savior I always felt like I could feel the difference between it on and off. Sort of felt chuggy so I always kept it off.
