Having a hard time on iccup since even a C- noob has no problem beating me, a D/D+ player.

I've been trying to play games on Destination, specifically ZvT, and I noticed something odd. I've played seven ZvT games in a row now and every time the Terran has done some sort of metal build, be it some sort of fantasy hybrid or wraiths.

One bastard even did a double proxy rax bunker rush into vults and then wraiths.

So are the better players just training with metal builds now that the ladder is young, or did I recently miss some sort of revolutionary metal game on Destination?

I think people are trying to copy By.Fantasy's mech build that he used against GGPlay in the OSL semifinals

Shiiit, they're still doing it?

Sucks, cause I just can't beat metal.

Makes sense on destination, you can't really use m&m there properly without getting stuck at the bridges, lurkers will own the shit out of you and when the zerg has defilers it's over for most people on that map.

You can also play standard on destination but i feel that the position of the ramp and natural makes it rather difficult to defend against muta harass. On the other hand zerg also has a hard time if you arrive at his bridges with siege tanks before he has multiple expansions or swarm. The possibility to get a lingproof wallin and many places to hide buildings are also very good to tech.
So the trend seems to be either oldschool one base play that trys to stop the zerg from expanding, or wraith play which benefits from a hidden factory somewhere, the ling proof wallin and what applys to muta harass obviously also applys to wraith harass. And the last option being the mech build that benefits from going around with vultures (you can shoot at the drones from behind the expo, and if the zerg harvests the minerals you can try to go in) and its harder for the zerg to flank you at the bridges.

Also what zerg did Sea.Really just demolish with proxy factory and starports? kwanro?

Mutas are very good on the map, lategame mnm-sci-tnak isn't esp good ,dark-lurker-bridge = no go

Also timming pushes on zergs third-fourth and natural are simple plans for terran to follow.

Post a rep of you vs metal, metal alot of times seems hardest then it is, I'm sure I could give you some general advice that would be it easier .

Destination is 100% pure imbalanced towards zerg in late game standard TvZ so mech is pretty much only viable alternative, or some crazy all in.
